Why do you wish to add stuff? Are your leaves nice and green? If you do add anything use it very sparingly during last weeks of flower. Plants need plenty nitro for the first few weeks of flower. You can use the 20-20-20 all that time. Then just use the bloom a few times during the last few weeks. Jacks uses great salts so you are unlikely to have any good stuff locked out.So I was wondering if anyone knows of some good nutrient supplements to use in combination with the Jack's classic duo. I do already have the duo so please don't say ditch them for the fox farm trio or whatever else. Thanks for any input!
^^^^^Word^^^^^Jacks duo has everything you need to grow great dank
excellent result from your last grow...honestly you dont need any more supplements...superthrive is more good for clone or transplant. I did expriemented with all bud candy, botanicare sweets and grandma molassess for my soillless, i dont see any result from those... it would works good for organic soil, to feed microbes.Old thread bump.
I used jacks classic duo with great results last gro myself.
I'm curious if anyone else has anything to add? Id like to add three maybe four supplements if it would help me yield more? Superthrive? Calmag? Big bud? Bud candy?
Would those, or any other supplements help much? Or would it not even be worth it?
Thanks
How about a $4 bag of dolomite lime from Lowes or HD and forget about the $$$ bottles of cal/mag and any pH issues to boot?Old thread bump.

I noticed one thing about molassess if you put too much molassess in the soil, it will have crazy pH...last time , i grew organic , i would feed one teaspoon molassess every two weeks in the flower cycle, it turned out good, since give soil time to break molasses down.Thank you both for the advice. I do as much research as I can but it is hard to sort through the static.
I'm a big fan of keeping it simple. I think I'm going to continue using jacks classic and pick up some dolomite lime. Ive also heard the same things regarding molasses so ill probably add a tspn or two per gallon every other feeding at the start of flowering.
I'm going to read up on the pro-tekt as well. I've been researching the dynagro line of products but didn't read to much into that yet.
Thanks again.
Now that I think about it I do remember reading wildly varying molasses doses. I've seen every week. Every other week. As little as one tspn per gallon and as much as two tblspns a gallon. I have ant issues in my house and that combined with what your telling me and I'm thinking very little every other week is the way to go.I noticed one thing about molassess if you put too much molassess in the soil, it will have crazy pH...last time , i grew organic , i would feed one teaspoon molassess every two weeks in the flower cycle, it turned out good, since give soil time to break molasses down.
Now about the dyna gro, its very solid products no doubt in my mind ! Just like you, im big fan of K.I.S.S. I only use Pro-Tekt and GROW 7-9-5 from start to finish. its very complete nutrients and it will give plants everything they can grow out of it. And reasonable price as well
happy growing.
I do have DG's bloom but only use it on the end of flower cycle like last few weeks before harvest and if you start bloom in the early of flower stage, it will cause leaves premature droopy and yellow , which it will affect the yield being low and best thing is keep foliage greener till harvest...thats why i said that i like to use Pro-Tekt and GROW from start to finish...remember K.I.S.S.Now that I think about it I do remember reading wildly varying molasses doses. About the protek. Do you not use the bloom formula at all? I was under the impression it was used in conjunction with grow and bloom.
While I have your attention, or anyone else reading along, how much dolomite lime do you add to soil? I've been looking around and see a lot of water measurements not soil.
Thanks for answering my questions.
