Survey..Gel vs Powder for clones

Im just getting more grower feedback for self knowledge and I decided I wanted to see what the opinion is from clone growers.Do you prefer cloning gels or powder.I have always used powder but have switched to gells last 2 times and am split which I prefer.Let see what the people say..Gel or powders????

cant comment on the gel, but the powder does not fail me.

I had similar results with the powder almost seems roots will grow down the cubes faster but on the other hand the gel seems a little slower but the roots mass more in rockwool cubes.I m hoping more people comment to see what results have been.

I vote for the gel/liquid, the powder doesn't coat as well/easily, and the plant can't use the hormones unless they're in solution and then gel/liquid already has that problem solved.

I use both too. Instead of dipping in water first, dip in gel, then in powder...your milelage may vary. steve aka koolkat

Me and my friend took 30 clones off his mother. 9/10 dipped in powder lived. 9/20 dipped in gel lived.

Don't know if it's coincidence or what, but I am going with Supernatural's RootBurst powder.

i tried both and got stuck on powder, gel is nice but you use up quiet more for the job, it is more expensive most of the time compared to powder and it is not as well to store too.
powder is easy to handle, cheap and can be store if well done for damn long time. also is it easier to mix into soil for example. the downside is that you will have a hard time mixing it well with water for misting clones or kick start rooting a bit, but that isn't a major one in my view.

Well, he had them all in a tray next to a window not getting direct sunlight. I think he's an idiot, which is why most of them died. He doesn't realize that they need humidity and the rockwool must stay moist. But he is like 20 years my senior, so I cannot tell him what to do. Plus it is his mother, I am going to go buy some more rockwool cubes and take like 10 more from his mother for me personally, keep them under a moisture dome and CFLs. I bet I can pull close to a 100% success rate. If I do take more clones I will be sure to dip 1/2 in gel and 1/2 in powder just to see what's up.
