Suspected magnesium deficiency

Have noticed that a lot of fan leaf stems have turned dark red on several of the plants. Also a few of the plants have started to show red/dark stripes along the main stem. From my research this could be due to a few things. But since magnesium is the only one of the trace-elements needed that is not included in my fertilizer. So the question is: How can i cheaply and easily add magnesium to the plants? I could not find a liquid fertilizer containing magnesium in my local store.
Is there an easier and cheaper alternative to buying expensive specialiced fertilizers online?
>Or am i completly wrong in suspecting magnesium?

Hey mewton, myy plants have been doing the same thing off and on. I believed it was phosphorous the first time, now i have magnesium prob. Put 1 tbl spoon of Epsom Salt, crushed to a powder, added to water heated to a steam, cool it down and add to plant. Since i started foliar spraying mine with the same combination, i slowly see new green growth through some of necro, but what do i know. Hope it helps :leaf:

If your going to grow, there are a few basic principles. You need good (not the most expensive) soil, fertilizer and water for them to thrive. Go to your local hydro store and chances are they will have just about everything you need within your budget. I do hate to say it, but if you can do it right...what's the sense? If you like it, you will eventually need a carbon scrubber (this is mandatory) and it not a cheap item. Here is a link to a good guide that I landed upon when I first started:
