I have an über high CBD strain (Suzy-Q) plant that was given to me. By the looks of the trichomes it's ready for harvest. My question is would it be better used for eatables or smoking? It turned out really nice, smells & looks great! I'm new to CBD strains and don't want her to go to waste. What's the best option here? Here are some #'s....http://www.burningbushnurseries.com/#!suzy-q/c136e

is this the same strain that has very little THC? Its a name I have come across because I am looking for seeds for strains with very little THC and lots of CBD for my sons seizure control. i'd be curious for a review after you do partake. :)

Yes, this one has almost zero % THC. There is a link in my post. So I harvested quite a good bit from this one; dried and cured it. She smells and looks top notch! I've made butter (cookies) and burned a fair amount. I'm not sure what to think. Absolutely zero "high" but a slight headache when smoked. It does however help with pain (I think) when eaten. I'm going to have a neutral party try it, I think I just really want it to be of some use and know my time wasn't wasted.

I get that! This is a time consuming journey :). The high cbd strains do have a fair amount of medicinal qualities so hopefully you find a good use ;). What was the yield on the suzy Q. Curious since that is one the strains on my shortlist to try.

Is there no pain relief at all when smoked or vaporized ? I think you have your answer if that's the case . If it gives you a head ache and you find no medicinal properties in smoking , that option is out . I think then the only path here is to make treats with it , the ones you make are up to you . I would get a few recipes depending on your yield and start the batches ! You seem unsure of the effects from eating ... what was the dose? try increasing the dose and see if it changes . It might take more of a punch since there is no THC boosting the effects . Let me know your thoughts and / or how this works out . Do a little CBD reading in regards to your goal as well as the strain and others experience with it .

be well

I'm new to the eadible part of MMJ. I'm not sure how to measure dosage. I made 1 ounce to 2 sticks of butter. Cooked the butter once to separate the fat, then added the flower. If you have any recipes you think might be of some use for this strain please direct me to them. I'm not sure if this is a "newer" strain but there doesn't seem to be much info online about it

depending on how much cannabis you have , i would probably just make cannabutter the old school method or with a magical butter machine ( google has both / youtube ) and as far as the dose .. there are tons of recipe's online for cannabis treats with measurements and methods to make them . If you can't find info on the strain .. simply look up a strain with a similar profile . The dose probably won't change just because the strain name is .. a purely CBD strain is a purely CBD strain in my eyes but don't quote me , i don't own an edible company or something . Let us know how it goes by eating more of the edibles if it works in higher doses . If you really want .. try to find a forum that discuses marijuana cooking or reach out to an edible company and ask for their advice . I can't see them shooting you down as it's for health benefits .

Good ideas, thank you. I'll keep you posted. I've had 3 back surgeries due to motorcycles and now have chronic back pain. I'll try anything at this point

I am sorry to hear this , chronic pain is a nightmare and pills are a formula for disaster . I also have chronic pain , i have a hard time with THC unfortunately but i am also interested in CBD use , it seems to have good pain treating properties as well as inflammation i find . Hopefully you find what works for you , so yes .. keep me posted . Find a good CBD strain that works for you and stick with it , THC can help with pain also so long as you can handle and manage the high .
