Swear by Ital Hemp Wick? Better Check Out Beelasso First...

I've been trying a few different types of hemp wick lately... mainly from these 3, ital hemp wick, beelasso, and humboldt wick. the ital hemp wick is much lower quality than the beelasso, the harshness in the smoke is ridiculously noticeable, and the taste is terrible by comparison. its still better than smoking with butane, but it isn't really showing people what hemp wick is truly capable of...


heres a pic of the ital hemp wick I picked up at a local shop...
*make sure you click it to zoom in...* I see some fiber that doesn't even look like normal hemp wick.
humboldt wick was better but they used too much beeswax....

beelasso seems to be the only one I've tried so far that only makes it in ONE guage and ONE quality beecause they figured out the best balance of beeswax and hemp.


I've been buying from them for like 2 months now, and I told the dude I'd spread the word, because this shit really does kick the shit out of ital hemp wick, which I see SO many people on this site swearing by, so I thought I'd post this so you guys can give this stuff a try for yourselves...


I'll be posting pics as soon as I get my next batch, I ordered 3 'boulders' so as soon as they get here I will post pics here....

and look at this beeline hemp wick... just by the looks of it it doesn't look like a very high quality... I could be wrong.. .but to me seeing golden tan hemp wick is a lot better a sign than greyish hemp wick....

Can you explain the philosophy of hemp wicks for smoking?
Is it to avoid butane? because that would be silly.
How about the flint dust from bic lighters? Avoiding that would not be silly.

butane itself is a dangerous chemical. they try to tell you its safe because when its burned it converts to CO2 and H20... but there is a LOT of unconverted butane you are inhaling when you smoke with a flame.

the flame is hotter, the flint is made of cytotoxins and other dangerous material.

the hemp wick burns at a lower temperature, thus most likely getting you more canabinoids, the first time I tried beelasso I got way higher off of the same bud I've been smoking all year....

so yeah there are some pretty dramatic reasons to want to use this stuff.

I'm not a rep or anything, I just really like this hemp wick more than any other kind I've tried, and as a consumer interested in keeping these guys in business, I'm trying to get them more exposure as I think other hemp wicks are taking their glory, needlessly so as they do not back up their quality at the level beelasso does.

and if beelasso ever changes their quality I will be the first to let you guys know to boycott them.

do you guys ever do solar hits? smoke owls [sic] with a magnifying glass outside?
You seem to get a lot high from that, also. You can really modulate the heat with the magnifying lens to get a more vaporizing effect if you like to...

Even if you were lad wouldn't bother me, people get a bit hot under the collar about others promoting things. Within reason and if relevant, why not. Spam to me is when someone tries to sell me a Car on RIU, I would be like, wtf, does it run on MJ??? lol.

Anyway, FYI, they seem to deliver to Europe as I just ordered 3 of those balls thingmawatsits. $8 dollar shipping so that wasn't too bad. Hopefully the package will be Buzzzzzzing it's way to me soon. Yah!!!!

I read that paragraph thinking this was some new American things, smoking owls...lol. Think I'll go and do an owl meself. PRoblem with this idea, I live in Europe and it pisses with rain most of the time.

I have done the solar rips for years and I must say they are very enjoyable and high quality, but I prefer the hits from hemp wick... especially the fact that I don't have to stay out in the flaming hot sun out here to use it

To be honest, I would not be surprised if I get an email from them saying they need to charge me more. It has happened in the past with other websites delivering goods to other countries. But here's hoping it just stay's at 8 bucks. One hydro store in the UK I ordered from contacted me to say they would not be sending me the order as there was no way they would ship at the price their website had quoted (delivery was actually going to be more expensive than the productS!). The strange thing was the company had a Dutch option to click on their website, and it had all the same delivery terms and conditions. I complained about that and the owner of the company turned round and told me that it wasn't their fault, it was the company that ran their webiste software, ahahahahaha, what a joke. Needless to say, I will not be shopping again at BASEMENT LIGHTING!!! douche bags.

hella man... you're gonna love that wick... I ordered 3 of them and I should be getting it today... fuckin stoked I've been smoking ital hemp wick for the past week and I'm fuckin sick of it....


I actually improvised a way of smoking without hemp wick if you have a lot of stems, they gotta be atleast almost a quarter inch thick but, if you split them in half, light them on fire until they cherry, break the cherry off into the bowl and hit it while moving the cherry around, smookes pretty good and pretty smooth, doesn't beat hemp wick but it sure as fuck beats butane...

I was using glass rods but fuk me you go through butane heating them up like nobodies beezwax!

yep definitely.... you got any thicker cannabis stems? you can probably use small ones if you have to. but I prefer larger ones that I can split in half, better cherries

yep split it in half like get some needle nose plyers and squish it on one side then split it in half.

then you light it on fire, wait for the flame to go out, when you have a red cherry carefully break it into your bong bowl as you are hitting it, it should cherry the cannabis and you'll get a fat rip.

Good post there popular... I never heard of these hemp wicks before today , thought it was only matches that were bad but it does make so much sense .. Dont know why nobodys mentioned it to me before. thanks for the info and link dst..

no prob bro thanks for joining in on this. I really love this company and I want to encourage them to keep producing the quality they are... if they see more people buying it because people like me recognise this dramatic quality difference, they will continue to produce their good product.

I think the reason their hemp wick is so different from everyone elses is that they likely buy high quality hemp and high quality beeswax.

I mean since all hemp wick makers usually buy their hemp from another country.... they have the OPTION to buy varying qualities of the wick. most of the other wicks I"ve seen on the net except for humboldt wick, is greyish white, or some other dull color. the wick from beelasso is golden tan. big big difference in quality of the smoke. I guarantee anyone who has a good sense of quality of smoke, if you try hemp wick vs a lighter, you will notice a DRAMATIC difference. if you try ital hemp wick vs beelasso you will definitely notice a difference in the harshness.
