Actually they can get kinda smelly near the end if the charcoal canister more than 4 months old and then I change it, and yes easy to change just slips in. I'm in HVAC so relatively cheap that kind of stuff. I veg under 4-4foot HO t-5's per tray. I'll sometimes use them to start buds if bud room full, but switch to 2700k bulbs. Then under 400 HPS, 600 would be nice but gets too hot! And I dont run A/C as power bill already high enough when running lights...... . I haven't started the CO2 as I am waiting for them to stop stretching and yes never seen anything like it re: stretching, this weekend maybe so I don't really know how much I'll get, still shooting for 2oz per. This was the first year I didnt grow outside and I am glad as we had the hottest summer on record and its a bitch to water them even in a big swamp...lol. I just grow enough for me and the girlfriend now so more relaxed. I used to grow 150-200 outdoors but getting to freakin old for that shit, besides they throw your ass in jail now!!!!

I was using 4 4' ho t5s for veg as well; it works incredibly well! They stayed nice, short an bushy just the way I wanted them to.
I was thinking of running co2 but I don't think I will, at least not this run. Maybe once everything is set up and I get a little more familiar with these strains I'll try it out.

And jeez, 150-200 outdoors is a ton lol. I would only do about 10-20 and that was way more than enough.

Well the ladies stretched out a bit. Not exactly sure how much but I'm guessing about 1.5-3". As long as they don't stretch out more then 15" more I will be all good . They're looking nice an healthy but a tiny bit yellow in the new leaves so maybe I'll skip one more feeding to be sure.

Went away last night and did not water before I left so they were a bit droopy when I got back but about an hour after I watered them they perked back up and are looking great. I'll post some new pics in the morning or so

I wish LOL. It usually averaged about 1/4 lb per plant due to the free range type of grow and it was an original blueberry strain kept going for a number of years. Did the same shit for a lot af years but like I said "to old" !!! Last one had a cop standing 3' away from 130 plants in back of van as we talked about the weather.. never want to do that again!!!

6 plants is minimum 6 months, just passed this spring. If plants are in house they try to take it and at the very least, house is now a grow house for ever as it is noted on deed, with all the horror stories that accompany a commercial grow, mould, etc.. I have been involved in a couple of remediation jobs in houses that were commercial operations and it was not pretty.

If I had cops that close to my girls I'd probably crap a little, would be hard to keep my heart rate under control lol. 1/4lb per plant with that many plants I'd be quite content, great bit of extra cash! A lean on the house like that is harsh, especially if its just a small bit of girls but why would the cops care about that right. 5 plant limit in Ontario? I have absolutely no idea where that is cause I don't think I could have a single gram here without getting in shit lol. And there definitely is no warm place around here haha.
How many of those 5 girls are as giant as those ones in the pic? Mine keep growing, I think they've put on a bit over 1/3 of a foot already just in the passed few days

that brings the total to 3 of 4 that are females so far, one left and has yet to show sex so I'm really hoping to have a perfect rate but I won't be to broken hearted if I had 75% rate.

Let me clarify, 6 or more you automatically goto jail!!! Less than that is up to judge. And its not provincial law, its federal law. My plants were turned 21 days ago and they better hurry up, I have 2 jars left! lol. Thats great that you got females, I purchase female seeds and have not had any males since I stopped buying DP and GHS. The Kannabia seeds I have been buying mostly have all been females and 100% germination. The cost of 5 females is $40.00 so its a pretty good deal, phenos can be a problem though.

Oh and the cop thing was a deciding factor in shutting down the outdoor stuff as it was just getting to hot around here with planes and shit. And yes it has provided me with some extra play money as well as paying the taxes....lol.

Ah ok I didn't know that's how that worked. Guess I won't automatically go to jail which is nice but I'm sure since I had a passed record they won't be to nice as they would with a first offender.

i may order from kannabia soon since you and so many others seem to swear by them.

Im very glad I got females too, all different seed companies and all of them are growing well. I know bcbd has a bad rep but I've never had issues with them.. That being said I'm still going to check kannabiaseeds right now lol

The girls are starting to fill in a bit now and buds are forming but wont be vegging the next WR so long, 3 weeks max! I have totally ran out of room as ceiling is only 7 feet tall, would've thought plenty. I have never had a plant stretch like these! Also had a setback with the mataro, still not sure what it was but changed res and all seems good. I think it was nute burn but I check every day and the highest it got was 650 TDS so again not sure but lost about a weeks growth. I may have to move the WR into the big room and start tying them down a bit and run a set of T5's to supplement the 400.

7 feet isn't enough room? Those are some big bad ladies! I'm actually starting to get nervous myself, they've started to stretch and in the past week they've out on close to half a foot or more already so I'm thinking they will for sure double in size and leave me with no room either :s.

Just thought I would share. I have two plants same bag seed (Heavy indica, huge fan leaves) that are 3 days apart. Vegged them under 250 CFL side by side in my tent the only difference between the two is that one grew to be a bit more 'healthy' than the other, that one I pruned some, not alot. And the other I didn't prune at all. They're 2 weeks into flower (both fem, Yes!) and the more healthy, pruned plant has stretched like almost 6 inches already where as the other has not hardly stretched at all...

Puff I'm happy you got some ladies! Was the bag seed good or you taking on a project to make them good?I've done it once before; it was terrible bag seed from a buddy and I turned it into some of the best stuff I've ever worked with... Than again I have never truly worked with name brand genetics from a bank but even still it goes to show that a little love can go a long way

Maybe a sight stretch is good 'cause it does let more air flow through the plants and less chance for mold.
I pruned all of my girls twice in their 4-5 week grow(including germ time) and they seemed to love it. The one thing I need to change on the set up I have going is a new fan. If they put on weight like I'm expecting, they are going to need some stronger stems ASAP lol. The one I have on them now is good but it doesn't blow any stronger and the stems are used to this speed now so they just take it as a light breeze.

Here's an updated picture with an idea of how small the fan is lol. It's good enough to circulate the air now but not much more then that.

The bag seed was good chronic, surprisingly. Normally when there's seeds in the bud the smoke is not as potent. So I'm eager to see how the end product turns out un pollinated.. 8 weeks veg, 2 weeks in flower now only another 6 - 10 weeks to go lol I'm hoping they'll have a shorter flower time because of their heavy indica properties. *fingers crossed*

8 weeks veg? They must be giants!? How do they look after the flower period so far?
Lets hope that its not another 10 weeks till harvest.. That's a hell of a long time and I know nobody wants to wait that long especially cause that's when the temptation of a premature harvest comes into play

The fan u use is the same as the ones I use to blow at canopy and works great! I did top all my plants hoping to keep them bushy and compact, didnt work lol. As this is my first hydro grow maybe its the norm but wow! The mataro I have is under 12/12 now after 2 weeks of veg hopefully not as stretchy. There is a clone of WR in the same tray so comparison will be interesting. Keep you all posted. Oh and again really nice girls, thats what I was trying for!!! lol. Not the magic bean plants I have now!!!

How long is the transition period from veg to flower? I know there's a time frame you don't count as flowering even though they're on 12/12. Is that till they show sex and then you start counting or is a bit longer then that?
