Sweet Seeds "Jack47" FV.....(Jack Herer X AK 47)

I only pinched the tallest of the tall plants, circling the perimeter of the room- maybe 5 plants. The rest seemed like they were going to stay shorter and did. No cages this time, I hope I don't regret it. Smell has been quite mild so far, just a bit of a skunky sweetness. I did do a precautionary Forbid 4F spraying, after lights out one evening just in case mites decide to visit the room but as of now, no evidence at all of them.

They've stayed pretty uniform hey, looks like a good strain to grow, very little variation. I always do a preventative spray for mites too hey, can never be too careful!

Hey Mo....check this grow out. My Sugar Punch seeds keep screaming at me to grow them out, but they are such a bitch. This grow report is a prime example- 12/12 from start of seeds, and most of the plants still grew like monsters.

I may throw a few of these outside next year and let them grow wild.

Doesn't appear to be much interest so I've kind of let this thread go but I want to make a few more posts cause I don't like to leave threads un-finished. Today is day 49 in flowering, 1-2 weeks to go depending on which plant we are talking about. I had to destroy 4 plants that were over run with mites and I didn't want to have them spread thru the room, so at 20 plants total. Smell is strong, plants look great. Easy grow, plants stayed manageable with 1 pinch. 2 plants are way behind and they will be moved to another room to finish when the crop is harvested. Dense buds, not large except for decent size main cola's which the pinching probably limited. LOADS of resin, I can clearly see the Jack Herer genetics in some of the plants.

Back with a smoke report, final weight numbers and a few final observations in around mid-October.

So sorry brother, I have no idea why I'm not getting notifications! I'm still very keen to see your girls mate. Sorry to hear you had a mite issue too, you keep your grows very clean so it must've been a biatch! Hope all is good now!

Back on a few days before harvest......cut a small piece today and had it in the food dehydrator for around 3 hours. Smoked 2 hits off the bong- interesting taste, up buzz in the eyes and temple early on. Plants really started to look really good the last couple of days, colas are dense and covered in resin. 2 plants are very behind- 2-3 weeks at least. They may be the most "haze" leaning of the bunch as the cola's are more "spear" shaped (sativa) and still loads of white hairs. Not sure if I'll cut them with the rest of the room OR set up another room to let them finish. Smoke is a bit racy right now, I can feel my heart pounding away. Back on Sunday after the chop is finished......

it gets pretty lonely at my thread too you've got a good strain here & good info as well hang in there it's bound to improve
When I do a journal I do it in the interest of knowledge. I'm not interested if people are flocking to the thread because there is always that one person who is lurking then finds your grow and it helps them out. If the strain isn't one of the fad strains then nobody's seems interested in the grow journal but people like me love to see a completed journal regardless of the strain. Knowledge is power

yeah it really is all about sharing the experience & I always start a new one like you said if you help at least one person make a decision & uses your info to do so you've accomplished something

Wow, 2 - 3 weeks behind, must be a crazy haze pheno...will be very potent though!!

Nice haul for 20 plants. The "hazey" pheno is still under light, trying to decide what to do with it at this point since it's weeks aay from being finished????????

Holy moley, that's a very solid haul mate, nice work. Its even better when you realise that the hazey pheno is still to come! Is there anywhere else you can put her? Section off part of the room there and hang a light?

So, 63 days in flowering when chopped. The regular version goes around 70-71 days and this "fast version" does finish about a week sooner. I'm real happy with the weight. When I break the room down tomorrow I'll move the last plant either outside or to another room here in the basement. I need to check the night time temps the next week or two but I sure would like to move it outside in the woods by my house. Dense buds, similar high (as of now) to the Lemon OG Kush- mostly sativa, a bit racey and felt mostly in the eyes, head and temples. Some euphoric feelings, but that will come on more as it dries. Very "hazey" smell dominates, maybe a touch of sweetness too.

Back in about 10 days with some bud pic's, final weight and a smoke report........

The puffy buds are the best smoke!

I grew this, two plants. The fluffy buds gave me exactly what I was looking for... Jack Herer esque mood lift. The dense buds//midget plants were more of a sativa high minus the happiness.

I'll grow the real one next time, I bet it's more like the puffy buds (sativa high). Beautiful haul.

I also did the green poison fast version. These are good plants, 100% germination rate and 0% hermy, I also like how easy they were to bush up.

With that said, I found the variation to be quite an annoyance. Would have been nice if they were able to reduce it down to something more consistent.

Hey greener, you're the 3rd person I've seen mention that the "fluffier" buds are best............I've grown a ton of Green Poison and the regular feminized Green Poison is way better than the fast version. I expect the regular feminized Jack 47 is better than the fast version of this strain too. The Ruderalis adds speed but dilutes quality.

The one plant I'm holding back on reminds me of Sensi Seeds N.L. 5 X Haze plants from the past and it's funny cause this strain has both these genetics in it's background. I gave it a good watering tonight......I think she'll be worth giving a few more week!

I'd say it will definitely be worth the extra weeks man!!

Oh, you're the green poison guy aren't you? Good indica, would be great "weed", but not really what I'm truly looking for. I've smoked generic "weed" for a decade... having both Green Poison and that puffy Jack 47 on hand at the same time really defined the difference between Indica and Sativa for me.

I completely agree regarding your sentiment towards the fast versions. Maybe they could find a good enough mix after another generation or two, but these early/f1 generations are just unfortunate.

I am the Green Poison guy.....lol! I was a tester for the Green Poison fast version too for Sweet Seeds but they were very unhappy with my final review which basically stated what I said above. No one talks to me from the co. anymore. Lol

G.P. Was wayyyyy better maybe 5 years ago, a great strain. Then after my numerous grows and reviews, the strain got popular again and all the seeds sold out so on the next seed crops from Sweet Seeds, they missed the mark and the potency declined. I just did my last G.P. Grow a few crops back- my last for sure. Ok but not special anymore.
