Main question: What is the deal with the purplish stuff i see on my outdoor plants? Is it good or is it a mold or something? People stole my largest 3 plants, the largest of which was straight purple but wierd looking. I am really hoping its mold and those f'ing thieves cough a lung up.
So the other day I went out to my grow spot which i wont go into much detail about. I had 12 female plants some of which were pollinated due to my budy not cutting down males while i was away. I also threw some clones out there from my indoor plants and they were actually doing well. Also cloned some of the out door plants indoors and brought em back out. They were all from middies bag seed. So the plant with the largest Cola had like purple weed that didnt look appitizing. Last year when i grew i had experience the same thing, but it was on the smaller skimpier plants. Does anyone know if this purpling is a good sign or is it caused by mold or some bugs? I went out to my spot at night and discovered hundreds of slugs munching of the fan leaves. So I put out diatamacious clay and copper around the stalks to precent that. Also i hand mixed soil and hand cleared the area of weeds and brush. I had to hike the soil a few miles into the woods in garbage bags in May when i first planted. I PUT A TON OF WORK INTO THIS. I would spray neem oil and deer repellant like 2x a week.
So just last week my buddy and i went out to the spot and 3 of the largest plants were completely stolen. Most likely by one of my hundreds of neighbors. So we panicked and harvested the rest of the plants which looked decent at the time, but deffinetly premature. Now that they have dried for a few days like 7 or 8 plants add up to an ounce or two dry. If we only had a few more weeks to flower we could of had POUNDS! SIGH, so guard your outdoor crop. You dont want to have people stealing your 5 months of work in the blink of an eye. Its like a gamble I could of let the plants stay and grow instead of panicked and harvested, but then I risked not getting anything do to the thieving people who stole my largest buds. Sigh. Anyone experience anything as horrible as this? Last year my outdoor plants were even bigger and got destroyed by a flood. I dont see how people can grow successfully outdoors. There are way to many variables.
