Mars Hydro II. 4 x 400w and 1 x 700w.

And I heard the exact same thing 3 years ago about LEDs and yet even though I know of 6 growers I see regularly, 5 of whom have tried LEDs of various types not one has ever gotten close to 1.5gpw let alone 2gpw.

Plus, no one in their right mind uses the stated wattage, its more like a product name. It was well established a long time ago that the only important number for these type of older units is what they draw at the wall.

I'm happy to accept there are better LED units out there now than a few years ago, but I still smell the same bullshit I unfortunately fell for back then.

If someone thinks they can get more than 50oz out of a 5x5ft tent they're either growing up the walls, weighing wet or just plain lying. If you had any more bud sites in a space that size you'd pretty much be guaranteed bud rot.

So the only real advantage is temperature and electricity consumption, which I will completely agree with. Its not something I have to worry about living where I do, and using air cooled hoods, bit I definately see the advantage of LEDs in that regard.

Bottom line is there's far too many people out there who buy into the LED dream and are so committed they then misreport their actual experience/yeild and make it seem like they're better than they actually are. I've read the same claims 3 years ago as I'm reading now, and I'm still yet to read one I actually believe.

My personal, and my friends personal experiences just simply do not fit the narrative.

I'll probably try them again one day but for now when I'm pulling colas the size of beer cans on a regular basis I can hardly see the point.

Just my 2p.

The tech. Changed
No more colore just red and white

Samung f strips , new cobs , quantum boards
Its all much more effektiv then the old stuff,
Companys like samsungs osram an Co. Are in now, its Not like a few years ago with ; watts on the Wall , burble ...stuff thats stoned age !

But i can tell you more in about 8 weeks, till now it is looking AWESOME!

I want to als you what Kind of dehumidifier so you juse , my tent is just 1m2

Iam at 60-65%
But dir week 3 -7 I want to Go down to 50%
Maybe a week 45%

My Option are;
1. Mini dehumidifier 7×7inc
2.bigger humidifier(12l/3gal) can just placed at the air intake(room)
3.a Lot of small granulat dehumidifer in the tent and the room?
4???

I don't use a dehumidifier I'm afraid.
Maybe ask in the Grow Room and design section?
Glad to hear your plants are coming along well :D

What are you afraid?

Oh yes,till now its looking much better then hps , Plants are thicker, earlyer Flowers.

Stretch is done,
That is crazy, the skunks just stretched 100%
(Under hps more than 300%)
Andere the amnesia maybe 150% (under hps easy +300%)

The nodes Are much closer, stems much much bigger, and the flower developing is awesome

When iam right, one gets down to 25w and the other min 80w .
(The funnyest thing is that on full Power (hlg amps and voltage adjust in max , My powermeter says up to 450-500w EACH hlg240
)

Whoa whoa whoa wait... Is your power meter broken then? How is it possibly saying each 240 is pushing +-500watts??

I dont now why
Power Meter is working normal with every other electric component (TV,led livingrom light...)

And on 22 volts ist das 220w :/ ?

Did anyone testest his hlg led build with a powermeter on fülle power? :(
(Hlg240h24a i dort habe a poti a have the Volt and Amp adjusting PINs )

Ok, half way done !

It is awesome, my plants love that light
Fast buds, tight nodes, nice smell(maybe i am wrong but it smells nicer/sweeter)

The only thing i want to make better next grow is , a bit longer vegi time
I linke my skunks a bit taller
Skunk are 16 inc
Amnesia c.c are 23 inc

Yea, I’m always skeptical of some of the claims I hear until I can experience them for myself however, I just tried an led grow in the small space I have (2x3). I previously used 400w mh/hps and was always happy. Nothing bad to say about hps , only great results. This grow I used a p300 led and a full white spectrum 300 led. For the little space I have, the LED has been better for me with the same results and maybe better.. I’m 6 weeks in flower and my buds are already the size of beer cans and dense as hell. I think different situations call for different lighting to get the best results.

Problem:
Amnesia making a lot white "hairs" and dont swell up on the top of the top tops
(The top of the headsbuds)
Temps are still 27-29celsius
Maybe to much light in this floweirng stage?

Our amnesia haze dont swell until week 10-11. Also led buds are smaller but denser.
Our first led grow problem: my mate had problems believing his own damn lying eyes: 700g/m2, roughly 2g/w on 11 week strain. It looked like 450-500 at harvest, it was slightly light burnt and still it weighed out.

Rather than trying to make others Believe, is there any science as to why led would make "smaller, denser buds that weigh out" ?

So far if would appear that if you have a strain that you really like that is a Big Bud cross but no one will buy it anymore because of the "Big Bud" stigma, just put it under LED :lol:
