SIMPLE QUESTION, will switching from 18/6 to 12/12for2weeks to sexthe plants and then back to 18/6 cause thre plants togo hermie??? whats ur experience??

Can stress them. Isolating an area, or cloning then flowering for sex are 2 more reliable methods, as well. Generally they dont herm from this, but precautions are good, as the 2 I listed

i havnt got a separate flower room so cloning be no good, mmmmmmmmmmmmm i thinkil just grow them through to 12-14 inches then flower them, cull the males and hope to have some nice females left.what u say?

That's what I've ended up doing so far (for the same reasons), except I let mine get to 18" - 24" tall before switching to 12/12. Letting them veg those extra inches made a HUGE difference in the width and thickness of the plant. Most of the good branching (I don't prune) occurred at that time. Mine haven't been on 12/12 long enough to show sex yet, but I figure I should get somewhere near 50/50 so I should still end up with 6 to 8 good healthy girls!!!

Ya can always isolate a branch with a light proof bag fer 12/12, it requires actually having to stay on top of it every day, tho

Dude, I feel like a dumbass --- THAT never occured to me to do. That's an awesome idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tend my babies several times a day anyway, so that isn't a problem.
