Switching from Chemical nutes to Organice nutes(HELP)

ok i have my bay going shes about 3 weeks tommarow and she finally need some nutes with watering i wanted to go str8 organic grow this time but all i have are some bone meal and blood meal and my plant need some serious potassium and thos organics dont contain what i need so imma give them some MG nutes first 24-8-16 juss to get them back up to speed and right after that i wanna go back to organic is that alright or no???

1 teaspoon blood meal (N)
1 teaspoon bone meal (P)
1 teaspoon black strap molasses (K)
EWC (Earth Worm Castings) 4 tablespoons (mico nutes and soil bacteria)
1 gallon water

use a fish-tank air pump, air-stone and one gallon water in a pail.

OR, put all ingredients in a one gallon jug. shake shake shake for at least 20 min. water your kids.

increase dosage slightly, as needed, no more than one tablespoon for blood and bone.

Find out more about compost tea. search this site. Earth worm castings are a must, lots of reading too, it's all about the microbes working with the roots and mater in the soil.

daamn coo thnx... but al i have right now are blood meal and bone meal and i dont know where i can get a hold of any molasses but i can get a hold of some worm castings and wood ashes that would help me out with the with the P u think that will work?????

n00b_marijuana_grower..... You can get molasses at any grocery store. It will be located next to the pancake syrup, usually in the ceral isle. It cost only $ 2.50 for a bottle. You want unsulphured molasses, two brands which I recommend are Grandma's & Briar Rabbit -both are real good. One ounce to one gallon of unchlorinated water makes an NPK value of 5-1-3

Have you considered Bat Guano ? Higher Nitrogen Bat Guano is a great fertilizer. You can find it at most hydro stores and on Ebay, pretty reasonable. It's the Cadillac of ferts in my book.

thnx alot man didnt know that molasses was so easily avaible i thought it was like suttin to buy at a hydro store or sum shit and i dont have any of those around me n yeah i dont wanna have to do any ordering off the internet besides the seeds

n00b_marijuana_grower..... A good mix towards the end is :

(1) ounce of molasses & ( level Tablespoons of worm castings to (2) gallons of unchlorinated water.

Produces an NPK value of approximately 2-1-1.5 and provides allot of trace minerals and benefical bacteria.

Some will tell you to use more worm castings. It is not necessary, the molasses has lots of trace minerals and the purpose of the worm castings is to provide them & most importantly - the benefical bacteria. ( Tablespoons will get the job done. No need to waste them.

n00b_marijuana_grower.... Bone meal is a good amendment to use during flowering. It will kick the P up and help fill out your buds.

Lot's of good garden centers, or a nursery will carry Worm Castings. Lowes & Home Depot have Terracycle products, one of them is a liquified worm casting tea in a two liter bottle for about $ 5 or look on Ebay search under Organic Fertilizer or Worm Castings.

hey what's up noob.....just peeped the thread. are u using soil or the bubble system?

i'm using the buble system and those nuts are cheaper for me to get my hands on than that other shit. tomorrow will be the first the first full week from seed, so i'm not in that much of a rush right now, but can u or anybody tell me if i should use the blood meal and bone meal with the bubble system.

Reading your post n00b, I see your baby just started.

blood and bone should be ok just sparingly at first, blood is powerful.

My next big purchase is some neptunes harvest fish fertilizer 1-4-2 great for flowering, easy to use and stocked at my local hardware/garden store (true value).

Next time I have money to burn I'm going to try some liquid bone meal 0-12-0 for my mixes.

n00b_marijuana_grower..... Terracycle plant foods are all organic plant ferts made with Worm Castings. The company was started by a eco-friendly college kid, who needed money for books & tuition back a few years ago.

He buys used plastic coke bottles from recycling centers to package his products. They have minimal processing, so the good bacteria present in them, are not killed off. Most Lowes & Homedepots have them.

They are a easy way to get ready to use Worm Castings. The bottles have good directions on how to use on them. If you can't find them, check on Ebay for Worm Castings. BMO has a Bat Guano / Worm Castings combo for about $ 4.50 plus shipping, which is a good deal.

For flowering, the bone meal is good. What are the numbers on the bag ? Also do you have any High P Bat Guano ? It's my favorite fert during flowering. Some nitrogen is good during flowering, just not much is needed. So, you want to shoot for an N value of 2 or under. Since, I don't know the numbers on your blood meal, I can't tell you how much to use. Give me the numbers for it and the bone meal & I'll recommend some guidelines.

If you check out the Worm Castings on Ebay, check out BMO's Flower Power fert (NPK 1-8-7). I've recently used it on several plants with real good results. So, it gets my Ohsogreen Seal of Approval. Four out of Five Buds.......

No one's mentioned topdressing, but I've found I like this method the best so far. It makes mixing and measuring a thing of the past, just topdress, water and watch 'em grow. Teas definitely have their place, though!

Good stuff! But, a question about this tea. I've been under the impression that the meals especially need a few days to leach out their "goodness" (bone meal tea f'ing smells like gack, it's just horrid, but yeah, I'm still doing it). So whenever I make a tea out of any meals they sit for a week. Casting teas only seem to need 24 hours to impart color to the water, from my observations, but they still need a bit of time. Are you able to use your teas immediately with good results this way?

ok blood meal is 12-0-0 and my bone is 6-12-0 and like i said i dont want to have to order anything off the internet so im juss stickin wit molasses, worm castings, and my bone meal thats what i have to make a flower mix nute and i WISH i could have all this stuff but its juss not possible thnx for the advice guys im sorry but all im gunna be able to use is bone meal worm castings and molasses

n00b_marijuana_grower..... Your bone meal is a bit high in Nitrogen, use it at half the recommended mixing strength on the label. That will give you a NPK of 3-6-0.

Since Molasses mixed one ounce to one gallon of water will produce a NPK of 5-1-3, using it with this bone meal, would make it too hot N wise.
.
To test the waters (since some strains are heavy feeders, others are not), give your ladies a mix of half strength bone meal one week, then quarter strength bone meal the next week, in rotation. If they show no signs of nute burn, keep going until the last two weeks of flowering. Then during the last two weeks of flowering, use only 1/2 ounce of Molasses to a gallon of water, each week.

If your ladies show any nute burn, with the added quarter strength shot of bone meal - discontinue it and use plain water during that week. Again, just keep a rotation going, weak feeding one week, then if you go this route, plain water the next.

ok i got a couple questions i heard molasses is good but the N-P-K confuses me kinda makes me doubt it but u guys are the organic pros and im the trainee.... so am i not going to flush this baby or wat??? i heard molasses fucks witht he taste of the bud wat does it do??? and u kinda confused me in what u said about qtr str.. did u mean add a quater of bone meal so like

week 1 half str
week 2 3/4 str
week 3 full str
week 4 1 1/4 str

or do i not add anymore after full str???
and the proper mixture for bone meal to gallon is one tablespoon right???

Ohso's basic philosophy is to start weak and work your way up. It's a LOT easier to correct mistakes using this method, as evidenced by how he helped me save my grow from an overzealous nitrogen pusher.
