switching light shedules!

I don't know, my friend, but we are in the same boat. I didn't know that 18/6 was preferable to 24 hour light, so I recently changed my light. I gave them 18/6 for about a week, and now I'm doing 12/12. No problems so far. I would urge you to change to 18/6 immediately. I noticed that my plants looked healthier a few days into 18/6. They probably have more energy to spend on growth after a good night's rest.

20/4 works well for me so far

Plants can handle being switched from 18/6 to 24/0 lighting without too much stress, but don't flip back and forth unnecessarily. Avoid unnecessary stress. Porch, 12/12 is for flowering, are u flowering? If not switch back to 18/6 or 24/0 for vegging. There has been a long running debate on which is better, 18/6 or 24/0. They seem to work about the same, to me, IMO. If u want to save electricity or want to give your lights and plants a rest go 18/6.

what about like lets say a month and a half into veg. i want to go from 24 to 18/6 is it still gunna be okay?

I'm on my first grow, and I vegged for nearly two months (yeah I know-way too long, but my girls were stunted and needed extra time to get big) under 24/0. Gave them about a week of 18/6, and now I'm flowering at 12/12. My clones, I'm going to just give 18/6. 18/6 is better than 24/o in my opinion-it's just seems more natural (i.e. more like a plant's natural environment). Experiment and see what happens. But as said, there's prob. not that much of a difference between 24/0 and 18/6, except for energy conservation (which I passionately support).

Peach, no problem, go 4 it. Alot of people start plants with flouresent and switch to a HID. Switching lights seems like more of a difference to the plant than adding a few extra hours and they do fine. Don't sweat the small stuff. An 18/6 to 24/0 swich is the small stuff. k?

From my experience...i had my plant on 24/0 for a few days..seen SOME growth...now i've had it on 18/6 for 2 days and have noticed more growth happening when it's on 18/6...so for me it's that schedule that works the best
