yes. continue with the veg nutes until you see bud sites forming, then start using either a mix of bloom and veg nutes, or straight bloom nutes. If you switch too early the plant will run out of stored nitrogen which will cause the leaves to yellow and die prematurely. Your plant wont want or need the extra pk till it starts packing on the bud sites.
hd, lowes or menards has pro-mix for $10-13 a 4 cubic foot bale. Thats pretty cheap. I use it as is in airpots but in a standard pot id add a little perlite to help with drainage.
Not anymore, was just at Menards and they pull almost everything off the shelves for the winter...had to dig around just to find a few leftover bales of peat.

Yep, I got caught with my pants down last winter on perlite...HD, Men, and Lowes all pull that stuff away when they set-up for Christmas.
Sorry, got your thread here off-topic. Yes, simply flip and switch nutes(no darkness). However, double-check your flowering nutrient label for N. Some of those blends contain lower amounts of nitrogen...too low actually. Since you are growing soiless, your plants depend almost solely on whatever products you are using.
