Switching to 12/12

Hello,

I'm currently running my lights 18/6. I am getting ready to begin flowering and I don't know if I should keep the same lights-on time, the same lights-off time, or something in the middle.

Do you guys have any thoughts about this or is it even worth worrying about?

Thanks

best way to do it is introduce flowering slowly as in the wild the light dont just suddenly switch from 18/6 to 12/12 in a day its done over weeks.. as we dont have the privalige of weeks do it an our leas each day so switch your lights of at the normale time but keep them off for an extra hour, adding an extra hour on for 6 days untill ur left with 12/12.. hope this helpss

u dont want to mess up the schedule a bit so whatever time you usually turn it off for 6 hrs just turn it for 12, i left my light on once and plants took longer to show flowers

listen ive been growing for a real long time switch them when ready to 12/12 it does not hurt them in any way shape or form to do so. they will not start to budd unless u do so some people say to start slow but trust me it does not matter.keep in mind ur plant will grow about 50% bigger when it budds most people in there first grow dont account for this and out grow there space.any qustions contact me.

Thanks everyone. I'm officially flowering now.

That being established, when should i expect for them to start showing sex? I assume I need to be pretty diligent from this day forward to weed out the males.

The first pistils at the nodes will show in a week or two depending on strain.
If they don't show, don't worry. Some plants just take longer to figure out that its flowering time, especially if you switch it from 18/6 to 12/12 immediately.
