Switching veg from MH to CFL to save amps for flower room. WHAT CFLs CAN COMPETE

Well i have a perpetual running but this year im putting in a dual hose portable AC in order to control the heat from my cooled 2x1000 watt hps.

This means not as many amps for the flower room.

In order to have enough amperage for flower room i will have to downgrade my veg.

Currently i have 2 400 watt MH each covering alittle over 3ft x 3ft.

I am looking for suggestions regarding what type of CFL to get in order to mostly keep up with my 400MH.

I have dealt with T5 HO in the past, which are ok. but after seeing these huge coiled CFLs it makes me wounder if there is a better option out there lumen per watt wise.

And of course i will thro in some old bud porn from an '06 bag seed grow for the help. Thnaks in advance RIU

u will have to get the 150 wat hydroponic cfl's. they can be assembled onto wings or attached just like any other cfl fixture. without reflectors theyre like 30 or 40 bucks imo way better than t5's. i stopped using t5's becuz of the heat and i felt like ppl just talk them up. I run the 150 watt compact cfl's with great results. give it a try..peace

dont waste your money on cfl's. their shape makes them highly inefficient. your money is well spent on t5 HO fixtures. get a 4'x8 bulb fixture. hydrofarm commercial 4'x8 bulb t5 HO unit will run you about $220 after they give you a discount. it only draws about 3 amps at 420w and will give you the lumen output of a 1000w when properly placed 2" above the canopy as well a larger usable grow space and nearly no heat output. look at my girls and you'll see what t5's can do. no cfl can match them https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/514705-golden-goat-organic-4000w.html
