Swollen white bubble at node?

I have two purple power plants that were just put into 12/12. The joint between the stem and the node is swelling up at every joint on both plants. I've never seen this before but then again, I've never grown this strain before. Could it be pre-bud stuff, or could I be looking at a bug problem? They're both feminized and one has already started to show hairs. Pictures to follow...

was just wondering if this is common in some strains.....

here's the picture: I should say it's under a 600w HPS on 12/12, in Fox Farms Happy Frog/Ocean Forest mix. Just moved from a 400w MH light about a week ago. No sign of bugs anywhere, but these look suspiciously like cocoons of some sort.

Thank you. I was worried I'd come in one day and I'd have a gazillion little spiders on my plants or something. I'd seen minor swelling before, but this literally looks like a bubble of battery acid is coming out of each joint. I guess it's a good thing? a sign of things to come?

yeah i have the same thing. this is my first shot and i just assumed it was thicker branches beginning to develop.

Phew. I was really freakin I was going to lose these plants or would have to kill them to save the rest of the crop. It must just be certain strains that do this. I've grown a few different strains and this is the first I'd seen this. These two plants are ones I'm really excited to see finish. They were both 30+ inches before being put in 12/12. I'm fully expecting/hoping they'll both become monsters.

WHOA!!! just went and checked the plants everywhere i had one of these bubbles the branch has broken off! Splinting possible or what? get pics up soon

After seeing my dog sniff the plants today i think she may be the culprit of the broken branches. Sorry for any concern. Honestly it broke off like a ball and socket joint and you could see inside it looked extra healthy kind of mutant almost soo high hopes for the branches with the bulbous things.

Thank you to the people that told me what these were I've got about 11 going right now and I have been able to sex nine of them most of them have a very undefined sack at the nodes but the two that are not showing any signs of sex have pouches at the nodes and I was freaking out that they would be male or that I done something wrong or they were sick it's good to know that it's actually from doing something right thank you
