T-5 lights from ebay

im new to growing so i dont know if it is a good idea to buy from here. is this worth getting or not?

4 T5 3000K + 6500K BULBS 4' F54T5/HO GROW LIGHT BULBS - eBay (item 180117444203 end time Feb-08-08 10:07:50 PST)

I have shopped for T5's everywhere and HTG has the best price that I have been able to find (he also has good prices on other stuff as well IMO)....bought from them as well and have had nothing but good experiences....

so its a good deal then right? and if i get them what is the difference from 6500k grow spectrum and the 3000k bloom spectrum?

Im pretty sure you need a special t5 fixture also

i have one of those regular 4 ft flourescent light fixtures. so your saying they wont fit in it?

Thats the same thing i was just wondering because of your thread because i have 2 regular 4 ft fixtures. From what ive read and from what it says on that ebay page i think you need a T5 fixture. Anyone know for sure?

definitely need a t5 fixture or a complete retrofit (new ballast, and new "tombstone" clips at the ends of the lights where the lamps snap in) for these lamps. t-5 lamps and fixtures are scheduled to replace all existing flourescent technology eventually because they only use electronic ballast technology which uses less power per lumen and can be more easily improved upon over time.
