T.H. Seeds Burmese Kush - 3 weeks from planted seed

Got this from GrowshopAlien delivered a month ago.

I germed 1 seed ( it cracked within 24 hrs! ) and man, has she taken off! Only been 3 weeks! I started LST'ng 3 days ago and already she's really responding great to it. Gonne keep her in veg for another week or so then start flowering.

They sure are looking good for BUKU now im really mad, i've tried 3 singles and a five pack and have had no luck at all i cant even get them to germ properly. I get this really small tap root after 5-6 days and nothing else ive tried planting as well with the small tap root and nothing...If you dont mind can you tell me what method you are germing with and if you use heating or not..Peace By the way im here for the run because i still really want to give it a shot..Rep + just for germing.lol

Hey Stinkbudd1:

Hmm...i'm no expert but I've never had a failed attempt at germinating a seed. This method works 100% for me :

1 - put the seed(s) inside of a paper towel and fold up the papwer towel a few times around the seed(s) so that there are a few layers of between the ouside of the towel and where the seed is.
2 - wet the paper towel ( don't SOAK it, but wet it pretty good) and put it inside of a ziplock baggie and keep it in a warm( not HOT..don't wanna cook the lil gals ) dark spot....I put mine on a plate on top of my hot water heater.
3 - come back after 24 - 48 hours and you should see the seed starting to crack/sprout. Wait until the sprout is about about 1/4" long and then put it about 1" deep into whatever growing medium you are using ( I use the small Rockwool cubes because they go into my hydrobucket ). I normally use a chopstick ( I have them laying around cuz I order out alot , hehe ) to push the seed down into the rockwool ever so gently as to not destroy the lil sprout.
4 - MAKE SURE THE SPROUT IS FACING DOWN when you put it in.....not sure what will happen if you don't do it this way, but i'm assuming it will take a few extra days for the plant to correct this stupid error. Why would you do that anyways ? ;) lol...
5 - within 3 or 4 days you should see the seedling pop up...

sounds about the sme as i do it, i think i only lose BUKU and PC seeds i dont know why all others germ just fine..Yhanks for the input.PEace

So, the BUKU is seriously CUCKOO!! This thing is crazy. In the 1.5 weeks it's been since I last updated I've placed it under a mesh shelf for a mini-SCROG setup and she's lovin it.

I started flowering 2 days ago...here's some updated pics.

Look at the stem coming out from this bad girl....it's thicker and bigger round than my thumbs... pretty crazy.

She's a beauty M-one and you may get lucky they are not suppose to be great yielders but with the way you are doing your's it could be very nice with yield...good work ..Peace

Welp this girl has really taken off in the week since my last update. She is super lime-green and the first white hairs have started to pop out in the last day or two ( I'm counting my "flowering" period from the time I flip the lights to 12/12 ).

She is a beast, and I cannot wait to see the buds start forming !!

Thanks Stinkbudd! I agree, she's lookin' real good, and got a bit of a nice smell starting to emit from the flower tops. Rubbing the leaves and stems has always produced a nice , green skunky smell.

For nutes i'm using the following ( at 50% strength ). I'm also using Technaflora "Sugar Daddy" (not shown ).

Thanks for stopping by LilStAnKy! Right! She's everything a proud pappa could hope for so far...hehe. I just wish I had room to grow more!

Welp, I guess there was a reason that she seemed to be growing with so much vigor.....turns out she is a full blown hermie. Im contemplating trying to pluck off all the male flowers , but there are lots of them ;( I will probably have to yank her.

Do you guys think that the stress of LST'ng her caused her to turn ? Temps, humidity, nutes, ph, ... everything else has been perfect. This was from a "feminized" seed pack , so i'm not sure what to think. Maybe just a fluke and the rest of the seeds won't show this trait, but man...i'm sure bummed!! :(

this strain along with the Purple Kush from reeferman has a tendacy to hermie as ive been told alot thats one of the reasons i wanted to keep an eye on your grow and set up so far this is the fourth grow ive followed and only one has gone to the end without any trouble but nobody was doing more than one plant at a time....Peace As for mine i was more concerned with the germ rate they say thats the main problem with these seeds...

Thanks for the info. The seed germed just fine, and grew like a champ! I want to plant another seed and start again, but I'm worried that this strain is maybe prone to herming out if stressed, and I don't want to wait another 1.5 months to find out. I think I will try just getting some good clones instead of growing from seed next time. I'll wait and do the seeds again when I have more room to grow the plant normally without LST or SCROG'n them.

Im new to growing and am on my 1st grow still but just started germn a burmese kush fem .. Hopefully she will not herm.. Follow along if u like .. Ill be threading it soon
