t12 lighting

ok this light is a t12 20w 900 lumens @9000k this transplanted plant was bending all the way over and in 5 min it stood it up is the light good for veging and flowering if so let me kno cause im tired of stressin about my plants lighting thnx

no it will not be enough for vegging or flowering, it may do fine for now but that light just isnt strong enough, get t8 or t5 if you want flouresecnt or get some cfl's

Yea lighting is something you can't ignore, just spend the money to get good lights and you won't have to spend it again for a while. I got a 100W MH bulb for $20 off of buylighting.com, don't know if that special is still goin on though, and then a ballast for it for $20 on ebay. It's worth it, the stronger the light, the better the buds.

so a 90 w halogen would be better

No halogens arent good, they give off way too much heat and just arent' good for growing. fluorescents are the cheapest, you can get t8, t5 or CFLs like raeman said, or you can spend more on a Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium. Seems like most people use CFLs to start off though.

What about using 2 F20 bulbs? Is that enough for vegetation to happen?
