Those bulbs look more like T8. T5s are ~ 1/2" diameter.

HOT5s are @54w, not T8s.

~ 300w evenly distributed over a ~ 2 x 4 space will provide more even light distribution over the entire canopy

that is absolutely a t5... the reflector makes the bulbs look a bit bigger....

if you want to be technical T5 are 5/8"- that number on most tubular fluorescent and a few other bulbs always stands for how many 1/8"s the diameter is, t5- 5/8" t8- 1" t12- 1-1/2" --- incandescent the A19 lamp is 2-3/8" --- there is a lot of info in the part numbers of lamps.... usually diameter, kelvin, CRI, and voltage

and you can buy commercial grade hi-bays like those for 100$ a piece at your local electrical distributor.... they commonly come lamped with 741 bulbs (70CRI 4100k temp....), tho, but that would depend on the distributor... they are getting cheaper due to high demand bc of the ability to replace less efficient lighting systems like HID in commercial applications

ZooMed makes a 5000K I think you can buy direct, but they sell retail and bulbs are ~ $24

Quantum makes a 6500, which I have, but want to get some 5000Ks as the 6500s made my nodes too tight

Check Fosters & Smith- discount prices + free shipping > $50, which is a big deal. Most light companies charge extra to ship 4ft tubes

Aquarium Specialties has a good inventory

Peace out
