Probably a stupid question to ask at this point, but you get so many different answers I never know what the right way is so maybe there is a few people here that know. When flowering with a T5 is it better to put all bloom bulbs or just four bloom and four grow. Thanks Guys!!!

it would be best to make a full spectrum using a variety of bulbs with the highest luminosity ones at the edges lol. but in your case since you probably have the bulbs you just mentioned it would be better to do a mix. like 4 bloom 4 grow. this is what i use for veg x2 Aquasun 1000k by UVL x2 Florasun 5000k by repti-sun x2 6500k by anybody

Hey 0ldleave!
I myself grow with a T-5 structure which obviously can be seen on my signature. I don't quite understand what you are asking, are you saying that you can switch your bulbs to a more brighter light? I recently purchased the 2tube but do however want to get the 8tube come time flowering.

I have two 2' 4 bulb with all grow spectrum for vegging. I have one 4' 8 bulb for flowering. Right now in my flowering room I have all blooming bulbs and no grow bulbs. My question was: is it better to flower with 4 grow and 4 bloom or is it better to flower with all bloom?

Poly I agree with ur whole full spectrum thing, but u have that backwards, u want the more of the blues&greens for veg, and reds&oranges for flowering. So u would want more 3200k+ for veg and and 3000k- for flowering. But of course with the whole t5 u could do a mix of 3200k which is a warm MH color and 2200k which is HPS color, of course u can go higher into 5500k for more blues&greens also.

And to answer what u were askin yeah its better to do a mix of the 2, most ppl would tell u whatever most closley mimics the sun is the way to go.

The only reason I ask is I have a lemon skunk that is at week 6 and it seems to have an extremely high ratio of pistels to leaf it seems the entire flower is all pistels an very little leaf, so Im thinking I should put 4 grow bulbs in my fixture along with leaving 4 bloom and see wht happens.

I have tried this in veg as an experiment many times over. Two 4ft 8bulb t5's ...one with all 6500k, the other with half and half. The half and half setup always vegg'ed bigger bushier. just my 2 cents.

I now run a mixed spectrum in all my t5's. Quantums is what I have...they are nice! I don't flower with t5's though.
