T5

So I bought T5s for vegging, 4-52 watt lights 4 feet long over 2 plants and want to see how that works. My question is, could I flower these plants with these lights sucessfully?

You need the right spectrum of light for flowering with t5's to be worth it but it can and has been done by many, Including myself.

Yes, I've been using T5's for more than a yr with good success, your lamps should have 6500K bulbs for veg I'm assuming, to flower change the bulbs with 2700K or 3000K ( I myself could only find 3000K ) lamps and you'll be fine.

I'm using 8x t5 for side lighting in my current grow. Compared to the 2x 600w hps above, the t5 buds are smaller, less trichs but still respectable. The t5s are less than 6" away. If you can't spring for hps right now, t5 get the job done but for optimal yield and trichs, plan on getting an hps. Def switch spectrums when you go into flower. Keeping the blue a little longer may help control stetching, so maybe swap out blue for red incrementally...

I am growing under T5 I have just about 300 watts. Still in veg but they grow just as fast as my friends plants under 1000 watt HPS. I have 8 plants I will try to post up some pics.

Dry weight of great write shark (Indica dominant) was 38g (1.36oz). Could've been closer to 1.5-1.75oz if it wasn't buried under the sativas and had more exposure to the hps.

I used 9x9" baskets in about 1sqft. If your fixture is the same size as mine, 2x2', then you could probably only get away with 4 plants (1 plant/sqft). If it's a sativa dominant, maybe just one, two if you're creative.

I hung the fixture vertically (slight angle to match the profile of the plant) as side lighting, which covered the whole plant on one side evenly from top to bottom. I rotated a quarter turn every other day. Distance was about 2-3".

The side buds of the sativas that were close to the t5s clearly show a significant drop off in effect of the light after about 6", so be sure to keep the lights as close as possible. Don't expect much useful light penetration beyond that range. As far as bulk, they're nowhere close to the size of the hps buds, maybe half the size.
