Hi All,

I've been a long time lurker. Never posted, just use the forum for research.

I have on my hands 6 fluorescent lights that I would love to utilize. I was helping my mother in law clear the basement and I found these lights that my wife's ex had used for seed starting (flowers and vegetables that is).

Here's what I have. T8 fixtures, each ballast has a 3000k and a 6500k bulbs. Lumens are listed as 2,950 and 2,710.

I'm hoping to use these for clones and veg. What are all of your thoughts on this? This is the first time I'm actually going to have a seperate flower and veg space. I grow outdoors and indoors I use MH/HPS and LEDs. No experience with fluros. Thanks in advance for any help or tips. Btw, i could always switch out the bulbs to one set light temperature, but that would mean running only 3 of the fixtures.

Christopher, I've read that there's only about 10% difference between t8's and t5's. Anyone have input on this? Am I misinformed?

I'm sure in the future as funds become available I'll swap for some led bulbs. Love my LEDs.
