I voted 3x. My 11 patients that I help will also be voting this week and I told them if they don't vote and have their friends vote they can kiss my help goodbye...literally :) so we should have close to 50 votes coming my way. Anything to help man!
The only kind of "vote" that would help this situation would have been a new ballot initiative on the 2012 general election, which of course nobody petitioned for. There is no other lawful pathway to eliminate the 25-mile rule, other than legal actions to shut down the dispensaries themselves, or a legislative measure that decriminalizes marijuana cultivation altogether (which _still_ might not free _medical_ grows in the 25-mile radius!) At this point I will make any bet you can cover that the 25-mile rule will not be lifted in 2013. The DHS is quite intent on ending cultivation in the populated areas of the state, and the dispensaries are a means to that end. They have said as much! What makes you think anything short of a legislative act will change that?

No lawyer but...There are options...As of now not one patient or their designated caregiver has been affected by the "25 Mile Rule"(no grow rights taken). Hence, the reason at this point there is no real lawsuits against the"25 Mile Rule" but once there are patients or their designated caregivers affected by the "25 Mile Rule" there will be 1 lawsuit, 2 lawsuit, 3 lawsuit, 4 lawsuit, "25 Mile Rule" over... It will take time... There is no valid argument against the "25 Mile Rule". I am not against the dispensaries opening but I am sure against patient not having access to medicine of their choice.!

I don't see how a patient will ever be able to afford enough bud to cook with if she cannot grow it herself. But I can assure you that there will be no lawfully successful fight against the 25 mile rule, no matter how many lawsuits there are or what questions they try to raise. The fact remains that the 25-mile rule is as much a part of the letter of the AMMA as any other part, and there is no mechanism for the state to remove it other than by the same ballot initiative process that put it there in the first place. If a lawsuit could remove this, it could eliminate the whole thing. Fortunately that's not possible either. As people get their renewals and lose cultivation, there may be lawsuits, but they won't be successful, because they would not ask the state to do something that it has the authority to do. In other words, they would lack _standing_. "Remove the 25-mile rule from the AMMA" is not a question that the state can lawfully answer.

Nothing like a negative Nancy to ruin the mood. I now remember why I put this guy on my ignore list. Nothing but negative ignorant bullshit.

Do you even have any idea of what you are talking about? No because if you did you would have read the cases that are applicable to this. Did you know, fucktard, that the laws pertaining to who was eligible to apply for a dispensary license was changed due to a judge ruling that such rules were unconstitutional. Do you know it was a lawsuit brought by one person that obtained that ruling and changed the law? You are an ignorant pessimistic piece of shit that brings nothing constructive ever. Take your bullshit elsewhere you are obviously a career troll.
