Taking it past base nutrients

I am running AN micro Grow Bloom PH perfect for BASE nutes and wanted to start adding to the line up. Where do I start? Vodoo juice or the many others available. I cant afford to do them all.

I ran AN Sensi (non Ph perfect) and it came out flawless. I used the Ph Perfect shit and had all kinds of random problems. Ph swings (ironic?), random marks/discolorations on leaves, and ontop of that I consider their Kushie Kush to be absolute garbage as well. I felt like the Ph Perfect formula wasn't even a run able nutrient line honestly. I have better/more stable Ph with Dutchmaster Grow/Flower honestly.

Do you grow soil or hydroponic? Ph has al way stayed between 5.5 and 5.8 but it is important to use RO water or you will have issues. I have calcium in my water which acts as a natural buffer to raise PH so no mater what I add it will always swing back to what it wants to naturally buffer at causing swings. I am open to change nutrients if I can save some cash but its kind of dont fix what aint broke but it is breaking the bank. I have a 25 gallon res. I bought a liter of each micro grow bloom and have gone through almost half already and have only done one fill and one res change. I have another 25 gal res on the other side of the tent and will have that running in a few weeks. If I change nutrients I would like to figure out the whole line up first with things such as root boosters. I dont have much knowlege past the base line nutes. I dont want a cheap product so to speak just something that will give me the best bang for the buck, is sorta ph stable. I mean i grow tomatos in DWC and just use granular miracle grow and the PH is stable at 5.8. I think RO or distilled water has alot to do with it. I dont think people understand that in TDS of tap and especially well water there is calcium depending on your water source. if you have a well and base line TDS is 200 chances are your main TDS is calcium, no good for anyone wanting to lower PH. Well i will check out Duchmaster grow flower. Thanks for the suggestion. What do you run with your base nutes? do you use a root booster?

Yeah I use Rapid Start for a booster, Hydroguard for res control (RDWC), Dutchmaster Flower A/B, Cal-Mag, and neem oil for a foliar spray every once in a while.

Have you learned to use 3 part yet? I recommend none until you do. If you are past the learning curve; I would add Bud Blood (use only once when transition to flower), and Big Bud (a bloom enhancer).

I would advise you to take it slow, and not attempt to add to many additives to your list. Expert growers can get just as much out of 3 part by manipulating the mix, without a bunch odf additives. I hope you take this to heart. Peace :)

taking alot to heart from those who know what they are doing. Thanks fro the reply. I had an incident with a type of oil for mites and leaving the lights on. I saved them to where they will recover but wanted to do something like a root zone additive to help with vegetative growth. I have just been using AN ph perfect in eaquel parts as that is what i was told. If this mishap did not occur I probably wouldn't be trying to do anything as thing were looking the best they have in any grow to date. I sated last january. I have 4 other harvest under my belt so I thin I know what I am doing. I mean I can add the nutes to the proper levels and mainly let the plant tell me what they need, so far just more or less. I can say that after about 38 hours since it happened they still show new growth and the roots have gotten longer and are still white. I topped them as the tops were burnt from the oil. I topped at 6 & 7th nodes

Sounds good. I always use Liquid Karma for plants after they are stressed.

Instead of Neem Oil or whatever; For mites: Use Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade Codex. It will alleviate the mites, and any other soft shelled pest by scratching it and causing pest to dehydrate, I have completely wiped out Mites using this in the past, and have not had them come back.

BTW: Potassium is the mineral that promotes root growth. Hope it all works out for you..

I was also reading about
Lactobacillus acidophilus which is the bacteria in vodoo juice. I am looking to see if anyone else does this way as its much cheaper but not sure I want to mess around. The liquid karma doesnt seem to be a bacteria but still looks promising

Liquid Karma is a beautiful product. I Feed my seedlings with it. I have been using it since 2005.

DO NOT use swimming filter DE...I know you already know that. I but it in 50 lb. bags, but here is some options

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2060778.m570.l1311.R1.TR12.TRC2.A0.H1.XDiatomaceous.TRS0&_nkw=diatomaceous+earth&_sacat=0

Hope I don't get in trouble for helping you out with this link...

DE Food Grade is edible. You can digest it, feed it to your Dogs, and Cats. Cattle, etc...

It is full of minerals, and is commonly used as a food filler.

BTW; I loved Voodoo Juice, but the cost outweighed the performance in my opinion; And, It is commonly known that just about all AN products were inspired by and copied from a competitor's line, so I think you might find an alternative, but not sure it will be any less in cost.

yes AN very overpriced and I am looking for their counterparts, like vodoo juice for instace. I am just going to experiment with the LK for now and maybe add the vodoo juice equivalent in the grow that I just started friday. I still need to build a resivor. I build them to size and line them with pink foam insulation and plastic liner. The temps stay very stable in the res and if you have a chiller it works a lot less. Thanks for the link I buy everything from ebay. there is no hydro shops for miles plus ebay is much much cheaper. I just paid 160 bux for a 4x8 tent and it is of amazing quality. I did not expect to receive such a nice product for what I spent. I think I am going to switch my 3 part to General Hydroponics Flora Series - FloraGro, FloraBloom, and FloraMicro. I can get 1 gallon of each on ebay for 88.00 free shipping! Hopefully it will be comparable to AN 3 part

in hydroponic setup?
Yes. You can brew microbe teas with it. There is a sticky topic about it here.

Concerning other aditives, it is my personal opinion that very few of them will actually do anything good for your plants (and might kill them).

Do you need a mask for the DE? We used food grade DE as a substrate in a filter at a brewery I worked at and we did to prevent lung damage

If you go with GH 3-part; I will help you all the way. Up until last year, I had a sticky at Cannabisdot, and it had over 40,000 views. You can grow mega plants with nothing more than 3-part.

You can manipulate the mix from 1-1-1 to 1-1-3, and beyond. Would love to teach you. :D
