So the god dam whore Irene just started blowing people in my neighborhood and now the powers out..they say for days..two anyway...
Important on day 45 any advise..am i screwed or is the dark ok for em...better than having the lights on too long right?

dark is better, don't get too worked
i've used 24 hours of total dark once a week for 7 weeks
no problem, just don't have light in its dark cycle

the dark won't hurt in flower, but the lack of fans and moisture control can spell doom.. very easy to get mildew/mold when the humidity is high and no air circulation in a dark enviroment...plus i am sure many growers are growing in basements below grade whee the humidity is higher to begin with... no power = no sump pump= flooded basement..recipe for disaster ..try to buy a cheap generator or rent one, maybe borrow one..good luck

The darkness probably will not hurt much, the other variables of mold/mildew could potentially throw a wrench in your plans. you need to have some aeration.

You're right, Man that just sucks!! In the end we are all just farmers and face the same tials and tribulations that farmers have faces for ions. Doesn't help a bit though when it's your crop in jepardy. Feel for ya Dude. Hope it all works out for ya. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that for all you east coasters, if we can help out with good advice, we're here for ya . Good luck again

i second that doser man! ya if at the very least get a few battery powered fans they sell at like wal mart or something man just dont let her mold cuz theres no goin back from that shit. Im allergic to pennacellin (sp ck) so if i smoke bud with mold on it my throat closes up and shit. Ive gotten pretty good at smellin mold and im sure alot of others here can too. good luck and Gods speed. Happy growing

You guys are awesome and i just got my lights back..so my bulb is fine. .It was a surge before they went out. .I guess it just needed down time..and thanked the fans are on..my house was stinking three hours after the electricity went down..
One thing i did notice..the buds have tons of new thick white pistols at the tops now..like they grew back

in upstate NY, we got a shit load of rain, saw one place with 13 inches!
fine where i am, but freaky weather for sure

Yeah we had no rain...maybe two inches but not the ten they predicted...the wind though was INSANE. .Two trees came down next to my house and Im talking two hundred year old maples so you can count me as a lucky one....thanks for the positive vibes. ..Ill take all i can get
