Tall seedlings with bent cotyledons

First time with seedlings and all the pics I've seen online show short stout seedlings but mine are really long with bent cotyledons. These are autoflower hybrids.

I started in rockwool. thoroughly rinsed it with PH'd water then set it on some hydroton and put the seeds in about 1/2way into the rockwool. Placed a semi-transparent cap on the container and put it on a heating mat in my tent. This was last sunday night. Took about 4 days for them to sprout (thurs night) and in the span of 1 day they stretched to the top of the lid so I removed the lid last night.

I noticed that one of the leaves was a bit yellow and drooping (first pic), so I mixed up a batch of GH 3-part nutes in 1/4 strength, ph'd it to 6.4, and poured it into the container so it covered the hydroton about 1/2 way (but did not really touch the rockwool).

Today, I noticed that the yellow-ish cotyledon had turned green again, but both seedlings have a single droopy coty. The first set of saw leaves are starting to grow out as well and I can see the tap root growing out from under the rockwool.

Concerns:
1. Is this amount of stretching okay? Can I give it a bit more support with careful hydroton placement when I transplant to my DWC or will this resolve itself?
2. Are the bent cotys okay? Or are there any corrective measure I should take now?
3. When should I transplant and should the DWC water have nutes when I transplant? (thinking about 1/4 strength, or is there a ppm/ec recommendation?)

Thanks!

Stretching isn’t bad but definitely not normal for the cotyledons to droop that much. Really looks like they are drowning and desperate for oxygen

What you’re doing works I’m sure. I’m a soil grower though, so I’m sure there’s better advise out therre with autos in hydro.

concerning that roots aren’t popping out of the rock wool at this point though

A single tap root is poking out from under the rockwool of both. About 1cm or so.

I reduced the water in the rockwool but I'm not sure if they'll re-absorb it from the hydroton. I'll check on them again tomorrow morning. Thanks!

Baby plants love flourescent light for some reason. Yours don't look that bad though. They are ready to be potted in something if the tap root is coming out the bottom.

I checked on them just now and the saw leaves grew a bit more but the stretching still worries me a bit. The container has no more standing water but the hydroton is still damp. Rockwool is still pretty wet, so I'm not sure if the hydroton absorbed it all or it evaporated. If they're ready to be transplanted into the net pots, I'll probably get some extra rockwool to wrap the longass stems (improvised "replanting" of some sort) before surrounding it w/ hydroton. I'm thinking only ~1" should pop up above the hydroton?

Thanks!
