Ok guys n gals, i figured why not start another thread, this time on the notorious (pain in the ass to germinate) Tangerine dream.

I got direct from Barneys, 5 femmed TD's, 3 days so far soaking in water & 2 days in tissue in ziplock (not closed) & still no cracks, how how about everyone else, it seems after reading multiple threads theres a lot of others having problems too, why not share the love & info & help each other out.

i got some seeds but i have tried to pop them yet. i hearing they react well to a little higher temps than normal during germ.

I just popped one TD 3 days ago, after reading about germination problems I was suprised to see it had cracked the first time I checked 22 hours. I used a wet paper towel inside of a sealed ziplock sitting on a seedling heat mat. I placed it into a rapid rooter and seems to be keeping pace with the plushberrys that were germed at the same time.

thats good news alan, my last heat mat stopped working so it was the top of the cable box for me..lol

soon as these sprout i shall start taking & posting pictures.

I read about an idea on here that I tried, and seemed to work. Seeds cracked anyway..tho it was not TD. So, you get a matchbox or small jewelry box etc. Cut some fine sandpaper pieces so you can glue 'em on the inside..I covered all the sides of mine. Put a couple seeds in the box and shake gently. I guess the idea is that the seed gets scarred up a little and water can penetrate better.

Like I said, I had a few seeds that were being stubborn after like 5-6 days on paper towels. I let them dry, made a box and tried it. They cracked within hours of retrying after the box. Did it work? I dunno..but I am keeping the box just in case.

I have a TD thats two weeks into flowering and she is a monster. Vegged for 4 weeks under 400w MH plus some additional CFL's. LSTed her and she has like 9 even bud sites coming up right now. They are sleeping right now but I can post a pic later.

Has anyone harvested any of this stuff yet? I am interested to hear some opinions

One of two of my TDs popped. It grew really, really, slow. I would not have kept it, but I was going to use it for a mom and it's in dirt, so I thought I'd see what happened. It's now catching up with the Sour Diesel I put in at the same time and is quite nicely structured. Maybe she'll be ready to clone after you guys grow out yours and offer up all her growing tendencies.

I must have tossed the second seed too early. If I don't see anything in 6 or 7 days, I toss it. My first experience was with bad seeds that I waited and waited to pop. Over a month. Nothing. Scarred me for life.

tangerine dream is the best!!yields great i got a pheno which smells like tangerines and a hint of diesel and leaves turn purple towards end

Try germinating with compost tea instead of pure water after i switched the seed cracked in under 5 hours, this was after letting my seed soak in pure water for 72 hours with no luck. Good luck to you brother!!!

I tried popping 2 out of my 5 and nothing after 20 days. Also want 0/1 on pineapple xpress, 0/1 sugar black rose and 0/1 grapefruit. non of them popped. never had any problems before and this time went 0/5...pissed.
