Tangerine Dream PC Grow!

Hey guys
Well I failed at my last grow attempt, mainly because I was too lazy to find a PC fan for the case, so my plant just fried from heat stress.

But for this grow I am much better prepared, having dedicated hours of effort to a new improved grow case.

I am growing Barneys Farms Tangerine Dream. This is a sativa-dominant strain so I am somewhat fucked. But I figure if I just SCROG and LST the hell out of it I might make it through to harvest, with some supercropping for sure though

I am in a Peat Moss Perlite Soil Blend. Quality Stuff.

I am actually running two PC cases at the same time, but the smaller case I am not SCROGing and running 12-12 from seed, just cause I really want some bud.
The main grow I will be journaling here I will veg for a bit and SCROG like crazy.

As for nutes, I have a Miracle Grow African Hibiscus food. it's 7-7-7 with micros so I figured it would be a good general one for my grows.

What are yields like for 12/12 from seed anyway?

to be honest man im not sure, im not hoping for much, but anything less then a half would really suck.

Oh and my seeds are germing right now, I plan to update this every week so stick around!

Thanks for stopping by man! haha to be honest I took that SCROG shelf idea from what I saw in your PC grow.

Nothing really has happened yet, at least not pic worthy. The beans popped and were planted in party cups. But neither has done too much after that. one did break the soil today but no cotolydens yet.

I was planning on helping the plant through the screen once and then just basically tying it down. So not really a scrog, more like a LST-screen.

but right now I have my seedling cup sitting on top of the screen, just so its closer to the light.

alright so here is my first official update!

my seedling is up and i see those cotyledons

she looks healthy, but it looks like my soil looks way too dry!

i bought a pre-mixed, organic, unfertilized peat moss-perlite-soil blend. does soil usually look this dry? and im afraid of overwatering cause its probably just my paranoia haha

Very glad I found this thread as I am planning on a tangerine dream PC grow very very soon, that will be my 3rd PC grow, my last 2 were very succesful.

Anyway, the following video on youtube might help you with the LST, has worked very well for me and is a fantastic method with plants that have the potential to grow very tall like sativa dominant plants:

Let us know how you get on, pics would be very interesting, when I do the Trangerine dream I am switching to 12-12 after only a couple of weeks of veggin, dont want the little lady turning into a monster in such a confined space.

haha thanks alot for the video man! that was really interesting, i had no idea my box was about to get that stuffed. i wonder how much he yielded though? he never told us! that makes me think if I should flip it to flowering soon!

i know! well i lied i counted and its actually 6 days since it sprouted on November 29th. But still, it does seem slow! I am in a rather hard-feeling dirt, i imagine my roots could be having trouble establishing.......but the soil is good, perlite peat moss soil blend.

i have 2 2700ks and 2 6500ks in there right now, do you think going full out 6500k would make a huge difference? cause i wasnt even planning on vegging much past 15-20 days

the best ratio to use wud be 3:1 6500:2700 during veg. instead of 2 and 2 u need 3 65s and 1 27. during flower u just reverse that and use 3 27s and 1 65

Hey guys

Sorry its been so long, but Ive been being really patient with my little lady. But I'm at my limit.

I cant figure out what is causing my slow growth! Kaendar thinks it's my light spectrum, but I dont think its possible that thats really why. After all, theres another guy on the forum who has a 250-watt dual spectrum and is doing fine, even great on growth with a 50-50 spectrum.

So does anyone have any ideas? Ive benn careful not to over or under water, so this is killing me.

Ive said this before, but my soil feels hard. Could my roots be having a hard time establishing and thus causing the slow growth? I think I will post exact specs of the soil I'm using when I get a chance, but I swear it was a regular, unfertilized soil pre-blended with peat moss and perlite. From my previous forum-browsing experience, I thought this would be perfect. But maybe not?

Another idea I had was a humidity dome. Since it still looks like a seedling, is this a viable option? I never tried one, but I'm getting desperate.

This lady sprouted initially on November 29th. This latest pic was taken December 14th. So thats over 2 weeks.
