Tangerine Dream PC Grow!

Well... I'm not an expert in any way but I would really bet my money on the soil.
If I were you, and I had the possibility, I would buy a known good soil mixture to rule it out (I myself use Bio Bizz All Mix which has a PH value of 6.2-6.8).

I must say that I don't think the light spectrum has anything to do with it either.

Best of luck!

Hey chronic,

You've got a great PC setup here. Tangerine dream will be an exciting one to grow in it.

This is probably the issue - start in good soil, with good ph. Get a name brand until everything else is squared away.

I'm subbed and will be following - keep up the good work.

Happy Growing.

Thanks for all the help guys- +rep for all the great advice :joint:

I am taking overtheman's and idontlikesociety's advice and transplanting on the 26th. Hopefully it's not too late, cause I peeked in on my lady today and her leaves were very droopy and even yellowing at the edges somewhat. The soil, however, literally felt like a rock. Im beginning to think this is because she is right next to my PC fan so when I water her she quickly dries out and hardens. I broke up the soil by squeezing the cup: the soil broke up nicely and felt normal again, I wish I had done this ages ago. Then I heavily watered, I'm really hoping she responds positively to this.

Avrum that is a great tip, I literally had her inches from the lights just because they're CFL's and I thought the closer the better. Now that you say that I have moved her down a couple inches. Thanks alot!

I will post an update with pics in the next couple days with how she responds to our therapy.

Thanks everybody for the input bongsmilie

anytime partner. i have a tangerine dream seed and i will grow it some day, probably in a small space like yours, so im excited about seeing what will come out.

just wondering how quite are your fans
it's a constant hum, but its not really intrusive. it just seems like the computer is on.

it actually gets alot quieter when I have these activated carbon filter pads attached to it form both sides. then i could barely hear it, but the PC fan wasnt strong enough and the airflow got alot slower.

so for now, i took off the filter pads until she starts to stink

Don't stress, chron - this is a learning experience for all of us. Avrum made an important point - think less with your seedlings. They're like children, they thrive on simplicity and consistency.

Now get rolling and let's see this PC in full swing!
