Tapwater dwc

The area I live in has tap water with 14 ppm. Is that too high for growing in a dwc system? Dont have the option to make or buy RO water. But would love to have a crack at dwc growing.

get a water analysis (free if you ask) and see if it's got chlorine or chloramine. chlorine isn't too bad, chloramine is and you'll need to get rid of it.

my god.. 14ppm is insane... I use tap at 110ppm zero issues at all.. your water is perfect.

P.S. don't worry at all about the chlorine.. won't hurt a thing. And pick up some Southern AG if you are worried about any root rot or anything.. it's super cheap and does great things for your roots :)

There is absolutely no harm in him bubbling his water for a day to be sure. I also recommend you do this if you're not starting with truly RO filtered water.

No nutes plain water day old tap water works. Keep the ph around 5.7-6.8. For about a week or 2. Add nutes then at 1/4 strength probably the whole grow. Maybe 1/3 in flower but half usually ends up to much.
