Tattoos????

Hey guys,

Me and my friend are thinking about getting tattoos. Im thinking about the future as well though cause I notice the amount of regret that come with them from many people. So im thinking of putting it on my left shoulder blade on my back. Basically above the arm pit is the general area.
What do you guys think about that stop. I choose it because I think its a cool spot and wont be visible easily to people i wont want to see it.

Are there any problems with colors (looking for red and black) such as fading or whatever.

Oh and my friend is 16 and he wants the same should he get it? Not a moral thing or legal issue but will it stretch?

What problems and downsides are we looking at.

Oh and what do you guys think about coverup. The makeup all girls love you think that would cover it up?

why would u ever wear coverup. If u get a tattoo, u shouldnt try to cover it up with makeup. Your gonna spend like 500 dollars on it, learn to be proud of it.

and it might sound cool right now, but trust me and dont get the same tat as your friend, kinda gay.

It's a little early to be talking about covering it up isn't it. The darker the color the longer it will last.

there's never a reason to get matching tats unless it's a life partner kind of thing. seriously.

as for location, that's exactly where I want mine.

And only the lowest of the low tat artist will do a 16 year old...

I have many friends in the business... no way I would ever get one though.

I have gotten a couple tats now, and I keep wanting more. I have all mine on my upper arms, and 1 on my leg. I love the art, and the process. Make sure you think about what you are getting, and then never let anybody make you feel bad for getting it. Love your art like you love your body, and it will look good forever.

during spring break a buddy of mine got the gayest tattoo ever designed---a smiling sun with a dolphin---on his back---everyone ripped on him. Everyone calls him dolph now. I'm surprised he hasn't killed himself.

what the point in having a tattoo if you need to wear makeup to hide it???? and worse than that you and your 16 yr old buddy are gonna get matching tats??????

why are you hanging out with 16 year olds?
brother. I said he wants the same just to make it easy. I am looking for general tat concerns nothing about design he can get whatever the fuck he wants. Its not like were getting matching tats like oh lets get horses and a rainbow on our balls and butt fuck. Naw it aint like that. He wanted something on his arm anyway.

Im getting something for other purposes then looking cool and such. More the meaning and symbolism. As a mental reminder to myself of stuff. In a place that can be hidden unlike your forearm. So when im going for a 6 figure job interview, if i go that is, there aren't a set of flames going down my arm.

As for the cover up the tat has a very significant meaning. Although it seems gay to cover it up its because its linked to stuff others might not like.
Now why do I care? What if theres a family barbaque pool party? Then you can either reveal it and hit the pool or hide it and sit on the sidelines.
I dont feel it being presentable to family members, 18 is younger then 17 was to them, because now im on my own and after having cousins who have went down that "wrong" path I want to keep them thinking everything is candy cane good.

Thats just what im getting at. Andi just want to know what problems I will face.

You shouldn't get the tattoo if you're worried what others will think of you. If you get it, wear it with pride

For the last time im not worried about what other people think. Im just thinking for the future more then most people would. You may like it for the next 10 years then get married and be like shit I dont want my kid to see this. Plus im getting it for a purpose more then just walking around with pride.
But anyway thats all irrelevant.

My main concern is what are the drawbacks. If it gets fucked up stretched or faded can you have them freshed up?

Im just wondering if I get it now, when im 25 is it gunna look like crap. Or 30 is it gunna look horrible. Or what?

If a valid answer says no I got mine when I was 11 and im 106 now and it looks great. Then ill have one tomorrow.

dont get one, you are too worried about it. Tattoos are meant to reveal things about yourself without you having to say so, there about expressing yourself without words so if its something that you dont want people to know than its a stupid idea to get it, if you have a job interview then where long sleeves, they do make those ya know. This is probably the strangest thing ive ever heard, i want a tattoo but i dont want some people to see it and im gonna get it removed when i have a kid....what the fuck???
