tell me everything i need to know

i am looking to start a cfl grow in a closet.
i want to make these plants perfect and get the highest possible yield from them. these are the specs for the grow:

cabinet-(growing area) 40 centimeters deep, 52.5 centimeters wide, 104 centimeters tall. made from wood with surrounding walls about 1 inch thick

light system (veg will be 18/6 and flowering will be 12/12)

lights for vegetation stage- five 5500k 27 watt cfl's and two 2700k 23 watt cfl's

lights for flowering stage- seven 2700k 23 watt cfl's and three 5500k 27 watt cfl's

ventilation- 3 quiet computer fans, dont know the cpm because i have not purchased them yet (how can i make them run completely silent? rubber gromets? acoustic material? how much is acoustic material?)

and a quiet oscillating fan to thicken stems and cool the lights on the inside of the growspace.

odor resistance- intake fan with fine metal screen on the outside that leads to inside of room(intake fan is on the bottom right corner) which is helped by oscillating fan, then it leads to top outtake fan (top left corner) which goes into small homemade carbon filter (9 inches long 15 inches in girth) which is lead out by the last fan into 5 dryer sheets then that leads out to a small 5 inch by 8 inch closed space where a ONA gel thing will be placed

soil- 2 parts schultz potting soil plus
1 part perlite
1 part vermiculite
1 part worm castings
1 small handful of granulated dolimite lime

water- purified water (the kind from your refrigerator)

other- pH meter for both water and soil. pH solutions to manipulate pH in both water and soil. Also, i was thinking about getting a CO2 setup but i do not know how that would work because how are the plants going to absorb it if the ventilation will be on 24/7. can anyone help me with this? Nutrients- going to use relatively cheap stuff. i dont have it yet. someone please tell me the right increments of n.p.k. i will need for vegetative stage and flowering stage.


so yeah basically this is my first grow and i am just trying to do it right. i just want a low electricity, low heat, small, but very effective grow. if you can give me any tips that would be great. Also what seeds should i get? i will be buying them online at nirvana probably. can anyone recommend a good indica that will grow me big yields but finishes quick? or something very colorful? either of the two options would be ideal. how many grams will i get out of each plant? (there will be 2) i was thinking maybe a little over an ounce for each if i do everything right. also will the odor system i have thought up be enough to completely cover the smell?

one last question would be how big of a chance is there for fire? like fire risks? like if i have the fans wired to according voltage cellphone chargers and if the temp is at a suitable 75 degrees is there a chance of fire? i am going to be plugginf everything into ONE standard house socket with 2 spots to plug chords in.... you know what im talking about. so will the lights and fans be too much for just one 2 female port socket? i just dont want to leave my grow alone for more than 5 hours and have my whole house burn down.

as you can see i have really researched the hell out of this and i would like to get it right, if you have any answers to my questions i have just asked or any general tips or advice then i thank you in advance my friend.

I'm in the middle of my second grow and have almost the exact setup you described. My first productive grow was actually my 5th attempt due to entire male seedlings and my lack of growing knowledge at the time.

Your issue is going to be odor. I say that because your first issue will be heat. Then, you're going to remove all the odor control because you're going to realize it's causing you to not be able to move enough air.

I don't know where you're from, don't really care... But I figure I have about a month here before I feel it's cool enough to move my box from the closet to the attic. I figure the heat cfl's puts off will be close enough to warm the things for a while at least. If anyone thinks cfl's don't emit heat has never grown with them in a confined area.

I'm currently kicking the idea around of ordering a LED panel. They are supposed to emit near zero heat.

You veg with the higher N compounds, and flower with higher P. I believe the Potassium (K) promotes root growth? Someone? help?

Regardless, I try to find something like 10-2-2 or so for vegging and give it 1/4 of the reccommended dosage is.

For flowering, I've been using 15-30-15, but just found the local hydro shop over the weekend and saw they have foxfarm nutrients. I saw the big bloom and tiger bloom. They will be mine before week's end.

Really though, if you're seriously never grown, then cfl's are the way. But you have zero business growing any purchased seeds for at least 6 months. You need to get your first 5 kills and 3 fuckups out of the way on bagseeds before you waste money on seeds.

well i have attempted to grow about 15 other times but due to not having a setup they all didnt turn out so great lol. but now i know what im doing and i wont even buy the seeds till i get everything else set up

Hey! pictures will help us figure out how to set up your grow space and what supplies do you already have and what supplies do you need? Try to get indica seeds since they're easier to grow for beginners like you and I =)
