There's so many other parameters to determine whether or not it'll work. What's the wattage going to these 6 Citi's? How thick and wide is the flat stock? How much are you using for each COB?6 of these on aluminum flat stock.

I am wanting to run them in a row mounted to a piece of 6" x 1/8" x 24" flat stock. I have 2 300 watt drivers but really only wanted to use 1 if it will push all 6. With that I felt a heat sink would not be necessary but I am no light guy and wanted opinions. ThxThere's so many other parameters to determine whether or not it'll work. ANSWER those and add everything else you should be asking and we can get you in the right direction.
That piece of stock can handle MAYBE 50Watts. If moneys tight and heatsinks aren't easy for you to access, a few baking sheets is a much better choice than bar stock. 100w per sheet. 2 cobs a sheet.I am wanting to run them in a row mounted to a piece of 6" x 1/8" x 24" flat stock. No, it wont work. To many watts and to little alu. Also cobs concentrate the heat much more than boards or strips. That amount of metal will do 70-80w of spread out softly run leds, but no way 50w cobs.I am wanting to run them in a row mounted to a piece of 6" x 1/8" x 24" flat stock. This is what I ended up with. I need a mount, bar stock, sheet pans, (what size)? That piece of stock can handle MAYBE 50Watts. If moneys tight and heatsinks aren't easy for you to access, a few baking sheets is a much better choice than bar stock. 100w per sheet. 2 cobs a sheet.
Honestly, if you have 14, use 14. The more you use, and the lower the current going to each one, the more efficient. Meaning more lumens per watt. You'll get more light, less heat, and WAY MORE spread. This is what I ended up with. I need a mount, bar stock, sheet pans, (what size)?
I actually have 14 of these COB's but think I only need 4 or 6 in a 18" x 36" x 43" tent.

Your cobs are 24V cobs I'm assuming? This is what I ended up with. I need a mount, bar stock, sheet pans, (what size)?

That is a CLU-1210 chip in your next post, not a 1212 but its still 36 v. You have to be accurate on these LEDs and power supplies...can't post numbers willy nilly and get good adviceCitizen CLU038-1210 cob led 3500k 90cri 98 watts max 2300ma max
I was originally going to purchase the CLU-1212 but ended up with the CLU-1210 chips. I totally missed the voltage issue. So I need a different driver, correct. I have $3 per chip in the 1210's so it is not a ton of money. I have $60 in the driver. From his link to the cobs....31v min, 39v max and that is a 24 v driver.
>CLU-1212 is a nominal 36V COB which can operate up to 2.76A max (approximately 100W). Best efficiency is seen below 50W with this chip.

As long as the amount of COBs he puts on any one of those drivers doesn't exceed the veros Max current, he can put as few of them or as MANY of them on any of them as he'd likeHLG-240H-36B, 36v 6.7a with a dimmer and passive pin cooling for 6-7 cobs
HLG-185H-36B 36v 5.2a with dimmer and aluminum sheets for 6-7 cobs
HLG-320H-36B 36 v 8.9a with dimmer and aluminum sheets for 14 cobs
Those might work, the math seems ok. Check for other drivers, there are a couple other good models out there.
I think those HLG 185s crank out a bit higher, you will need a dimmer with that
There also is a thru current limit in the connectors, so you can't put as many as you want. Just up to max thru put the COB is rated for.
Some have alternate solder pads that are rated higher.
God I'm High as FK on a Cannagar, you already said that and betterer than meAs long as the amount of COBs he puts on any one of those drivers doesn't exceed the veros Max current, he can put as few of them or as MANY of them on any of them as he'd like
How about this wired to the 24v? It looks like it will run the chips at 36v? What is your opinionAs long as the amount of COBs he puts on any one of those drivers doesn't exceed the veros Max current, he can put as few of them or as MANY of them on any of them as he'd like
