Telling this judge I'm not taking this 101 course.

So about a month ago I got a charge for possession and the judge tolo me to take some bullshit Propaganda course online. He told me in court the class was 50 dollars but when I got to the course website it says 80.

I'm not going to do the course. I'm gonna tell him here's your 50 bucks and you should have evaluated the course and the fee before disclosing the fine to me. I know it's 30 bucks but fuck that. I'm not going to waste my time and pay more money because I wasn't informed properly. Thoughts? I'm really not intimidated by them at all...

You should put together a bullet point list of things that you're "gonna tell the judge", that way you appear organized in the courtroom.

Failing at an attitude test is it's own reward LOL Although I admit I wish we could get someone to video this appearance on their phone, so we could be rewarded as well.

But I am all for going back and saying that he lied under oath, and giving him a hard time. Especially if it said 50$ in writing. Good luck and don't let him get you fired up. keep it civilized.

Absolutely true.
I can think of very few scenario's when interacting with a Judge or a Cop where I will actually benefit from their action, therefore the idea is to mitigate the damage that's coming.
Swallow your pride, keep your head down & try to stay off the Radar.

Yeah I'd agree with several posts here better to go along and get along took me over a decade to figure this out and keep my ass out of trouble. Good luck in court though I know it can be stressful as hell.

You sure the judge said $50 was the course fee? He didn't fine you? I got a DUI 15 yrs ago; in court I was fined $1000 and told I had to complete the DUI course. The course was separate and I had to pay for it separately (and that money doesn't go to the courts, it goes to the course organization)

All the judge has to do is say contempt, smack his gavel and say the word bailiff. then you go away and the judge don't have to think about you for a while. I would just pay the extra 30.
