Temp and Time questions BHO???

a simple solution, which i think is cheating, is to whip or fold the oil back into a ball towards the center,

i cheat every time with the folding part.

the bubbles WILL stop escaping.

mixing the oil up will get the bubbles going again..

i am chasing the dream of no whipping, or folding, and straight good heat/bubble/vac control.

Wow, Guzias1 thats alot of great info. Im sure most of the answers Im looking for are in there.
But another question I have is, It will eventually stop bubbling wont it? Its not like water and would literally boil forever or until it evaporates.
That is a lot of great info! Good post G!

For a floral extract, the trick is to remove it from the heat and vacuum, when the solvent bubbles stop, and only C02 bubbles remain. All bubbling will eventually cease, but by then it is fully decarboxylated, in addition to being purged.

They need to make a vibrating vacuum oven. This way you could cook and vac straight from liquid. Without the vibrating, the bubbles would never release.

An ultra-sonic transducer attached to the oil container might be easier on the heating elements and controls.

Fade I'm so ready to go pro and try a transducer, I've been gleening vibratory surface disturbance by running my dehydrator I use for purging on the dryer while my wife is doing loads. I was afraid to mess around with those misting transducers because that's submerged and would most likely atomize my oil along with my solvent which im trying to recover. I'm on the olympus site looking at the options but I'm just being greedy and reading descriptions looking for a "max" shear promise to give my liquid a real shake without needing to play stir bar recovery games. I don't think i'll ever get my processing down to a routine until im satisfied I've squeezed blood from a rock by compressing time and enhancing sustainability. Everytime i leave something running my mind clicks away thinking how can I do it faster so I can get off the power.

How would you suggest mounting the transducer into the chamber without air leaks promoting the dreaded subjects of running the vac continuously? I have yet to beat the speed at which my torus style air flow dehydrator can evap solvent, but I can't recover it like I can distilling. I'm doing ok with evaporatory distilling by running my aspirator wide open and just letting the air flow do it's work while the stir bar spreads the solvent up the walls, but it's twice as slow and the air isn't heated and dried like in the dehydrator.

I would add about a one inch pipe port to the oven, if it doesn't have one, and cast the wires in a pipe nipple or cap, using epoxy.

Good transducer site! Thanks for sharing.

looks like a high quality set up, you shoudnt ever have any problems with it.

and is that a cooking probe I see in there getting direct temp results from the oil?? very nice.

What would be some signs to look for to know if some stuff aint purged enough? Would you get sick? Headaches? Dizzy? What are the effects of bad oil?

for the most part, it tastes like absolute shit, and is very very harsh. makes you cough and not be able to breathe. it might also taste like what it was made with (ISO, everclear, or bad butane if it was used). if it was made with shitty, moldy, or fertilizer filled weed, then your butane will be concentraded shit, mold, or fertilizer and become about as unhealthy as cigarettes. it also looks, and smells like black tar resin shit. also, it will have tiny bubbles in it, or big bubbles, and thousands of them if there is still butane. if you let it sit for a few days, does it form new bubbles on the outside layer like this?

if its a nice golden, shatter piece that is somewhat see through, then its good.

if it cracks and sizzles on the nail, it could be bad.

when thinned out, what color is it? if there is any green, or pure black, that is shitty/gross oil most of the time.

you want a nice golden, hard (not gooey for the most part) oil that is silent when smoked, and doesnt absolutely kill the lungs and make it so you cant breathe, which it probably will. unless its been winterized.

if its real real bad, and improperly made oil, then yes it can make you sick or give some people a wicked headache.

sometimes good oil does the same too though... got dizzy and sick (greened out I guess or something)

Where is the best and cheapest place to order butane? I can get it for 3.48 a can for Fasfil 5x premium. But I dont know how good that really is. Besides I'd rather just order a case...
Also I dont like going to this cigar shop and cleaning them out all the time...

fuck them. clean them out. you only got 1 set of lungs, dont ruin them trying to save 15$. they can order more. or pre order a case from them/tell them to start ordering more.

london/colibri is good shit if youre in canada. if youre in the USA I think theyre using vector brand. or stok is very good if they can get it, pricey though.

resin...

its just a "high quality" resin because youve smoked BHO or hash only in the bong... and not buds which make black tar gross resin shit we seen and smoked when were beginners and very young.

there are things that can be done with that golden resin in your bong. ive got 15 grams of it myself. it can be smoked, and you can get high technically. it just tastes gross, and should possibly be winterized in some everclear and filtered first to remove any possible junk.

some people also turn it into edibles, and get a nice body high off it!!

some people just throw it out... it does smell pretty god damn bad if its a water rig of any sort though.
