Temp question, need advice....

I have a grow room that is 10 x 10 and is at a cool 40F degrees during the day(probably mid 30s low 40s at night)...my question is what temp can I expect to be raised to with a 1000 watt MH thats on 24 hours with no hot air ventilation?


Is it absolutely critical that I vent the hot air from the light or can I allow the light to heat the room w/o venting the hot air?

Also I'll have a small 4 inch hole drawing in fresh air from outside(40f) with a very small fan.....

at least a 10 degree hike with 1000 watts.....probably more like 15 or 20 though in that small space

Don't Vent and find out how hot it gets. 40F is pretty damm cold so the light should help. Do you need to be pulling in the air from outside?, maybe you should consider pulling air from your roof that may be slightly warmer or not pulling air from anywhere to contain warmth.

wow your temp is to low, for optimal growth you need it to be between 60 and 75%F temp that low will ultimatly stunt ifnot damage your plants *get the temp up*

I couldn't pull it from the roof...its a relatively small house that has a fire place and wooden floors(no central air) so maybe the fireplace will heat it up fine....i need some kinda fresh air intake for the plants though....
