Tempature.............

I purchased a coupla new digital hygro meters today. Im running a 600w A/C hood with 6" rvk in a dr120 with an oscillating fan and a 4" fan and scrubber.

I have the digitial hygro meter directly under the light (about 15" away) on my nft tank, and the other sits on the wall just in shade from the light reading the ambient tempature.

The one on the wall reads 79f , while the one on the table reads 87f is this normal? Should i be worried? sitting my hand where the meter sits does not feel hot atall.

Hey man. Hows it goin? I think ur fine. Hold ur hand under the light for several seconds, if ur hand is good the plants are good.

also some of these damn digital thermometers are false, at least the cheap ones are so watch out

Cheap meters aren't worth the gas it takes to go drive to walmart and buy. period. Buy good equipment for many years of solid use. Peace.

I agree but good meters, ones from walmart and home depot are junk..... it's worth the money to buy the good ones..
