Temperature differential

I am flipping my girls today I just lollipopped them and got rid of all lower growth question is as follows should I keep the room the same temp day and night or colder at night? Does it make a difference I am trying my best to make some nice buds any positive answers are appreciated

My indoor temps drop by about 10 degrees at night. Doesn't really matter other then it will affect your RH.

Not sure what everyone else does, I’m happy with a 10 degree F drop with lights out, make a difference? No clue..

A very successful commercial grower acquaintance of mine told me he likes to have a temp of 85f and rh of 51-53% during veg. During flower he likes his daytime temp at 70-75 and 43% rh and then he drops the temperature 20 degrees during night. I think this helps bring out the colors and preserve and promotes the terps. There's no way I could do that to my environment, I just take what I can get. The girl I"m about to chop is a clone that I ran before, there was a huge temp difference between veg and flower because it took me a little bit to get my ac going and it was like 95-100 in my tents. The color is very noticeably different than last time i ran her.

*this was for his personal grow, no idea what he does commercially

I'd rather have a drop at night 20/21c is ideal I think, ime 24/25c during the night causes more stretch, all of my 1"+ growth a day during stretch has been during summer bar none.

It would be spectacular if you could do both for the sake of 1st hand research but it's not practical lol

My temps fluctuate about 20 degrees F give or take. I don't pay much attention since my RH is so low. The thing I'd worry about is the difference in relative humidity. It's my understanding that can trigger PM

That's a blessing man, some low/lower humidity would be a welcome break here.

It's not just the expense it's that constant threat of rot at the back of your mind.

May I recommend Marrone Regalia as a preventative? I had some genetics that were simply prone to mildew and Regalia allowed me to make it to harvest and they still are some amazing genetics. If I lived where I had humidity like that I wouldn't run without it. That would just eat at me!

That's a bummer how do you control that a dehumidifier puts out heat doesn't it maybe get a 50 gallon drum of rice lol

I read somewhere on here that warmer night Temps reduce stretching in plants and in turn will yield a denser flower. Can't say that it's true. But I will say, i am running warmer night Temps vs day Temps this time of year,, and my plants are bushing out a little more than normal while not gainingas much height. If you're going for maximum density that's something to consider.

Negative temp differential works great to lessen the stretch.

I keep air passing through continually, with the lights off I need the fan low so that the dehumidifier has a chance to dry the air, the downside is its around 24c with the light out.

I've since swapped to light on during the night it's worth 3/4% rh and 1c in temp.

I read somewhere on here that I need calmag with coco that doesn't make it the case though in my experience.

Limit stretch l... Why would a cannabis plant not stretch when it's warm well fed and in stretch mode lol... That's hilarious!
