Is a heat mat sufficient to supplement the temperature in a small grow tent? (2x2x4 set up). Operating from well-insulated winter shed space.

It might be but if you are on a slab the floor under the mat needs insulated
I have a couple 2x4’ mats on stats and they ran continuous which is concerning as to electricity cost
