Temps in flower room

I know not to go over 80 to 85 degress in the flower room, but where should i place the thermometer? Should the tepm of the room be takin directly under the light where it is hottest or on the wall out of direct light?

In my flower room (8 x 12) i keep 2 digital thermometers with humidity read out on opposite walls. I keep them both level with the top third of the plants out of direct light and this pretty much gives me an accurate overall room reading. It will always be a little warmer the closer you get to the light. As far as setting your light height in conjunction with the heat it throws off just place your hand at the top of the plants. If it is to hot for you then it is to hot for the plants.

Take several temps. Most thermometers respond in a matter of minutes. Put the thermometer in the top nodes of a plant and record that temperature 10 minutes later. Place the thermometer on the soil level and go smoke a bowl. When you remember that you put that thermometer somewhere and then find it, record that temperature. Lastly, place the thermomter on the floor where your roots are and go get something to drink. After you drink your fill of the milk-straight from the carton with the fridge door open-record the temp.

You now have a rough idea of the 3 climates that your plants are experiencing.

A few fans up top and down below will even out the temps.

get a thermometer with an outdoor wire probe. you can get them at home depot or most hardware/garden stores. put the thermometer medium level and the probe at the canopy. and if possible get your day time temps under 75.

id say the most important temperature is at the very top of the plants where its going to be the hottest for the plant.
