What watt light are you running? Are you exhausting the air from the tent to another room?hey guys I'm new here.. Just started my first grow in my tent.. I have a 5x5 tent.. I am having a really hard time with the heat inside my tent.. I have pictures of my set up can you guys help me?
I have a 1000w in my tent.. I have my tent in garage no where to run it out no windows down there..What watt light are you running? Are you exhausting the air from the tent to another room?
I have a 1000w in a 10x6 tent, and I have a fan inside blowing hard, and the exhaust takes the hot air out of the house.
So I should move my carbon filter out the tent? And get another inline fane?I can give some suggestions...hopefully they help....personally I've never had luck with the carbon filter inside the tent...here is what I would do (if its possible for you of course)
assuming everything is 6 inch....
I take a cheapy inline fan (home depot/lowes has them for 20 bucks) and I have a much larger 6" inline fan in the system as well..
I run the ducting out of the tent as my intake (5 gallon paint can filter bag works perfect to keep particles out..(i run it to its length) will give a rough drawing as best as I can
---ducting ----cheap inline----hood----ducting out of tent----larger 6"inline---carbon filter
try and run the ducting as far as you can away from tent to carbon filter, that way the sucked out heat from light isn't staying right in the area...if noise is an issue we can fix that tooGood luck with your grow!
I take the glass off of my hood and never have heat issues...ty central air![]()
That 1000 Is trouble in my big tent...I have a 1000w in my tent.. I have my tent in garage no where to run it out no windows down there..

I see people do it with success all the time, I just personally don't (carbon filter)
I will take a stab in the dark and say that you're using a metal halide bulb...those mf'ers get HOT, and if that's the case then I'd strongly suggest a 2nd fan, its hard to manage those temps...pulling cool air into the tent and exhausting it to another side of your area would be a good idea also..Those portable room air conditions are usually junk but can help in an extreme emergency...if your ballast is dimmable (50/75/100%) you could try turning it back to 75% then 50 if that's not enough...
Will one of those fans that blow cool air help inside my tent or will that not be a good idea?I see people do it with success all the time, I just personally don't (carbon filter)

+1...If you are extracting air out of your tent and into your garage without it then leaving your garage then you will just be pulling hot air back into your tent via passive vents. The air will get hotter and hotter and you also wont be bringing new fresh co2 laden air in either.
If you have absolutely no way of drilling a 6" hole in your garage to vent hot air out then you have little option other than to add AC and add Co2 by some means. A sealed environment system!
What I would do is think about getting a boiler type duct outlet fitted to your garage wall or roof so that you can extract hot air straight out and rely on any gaps in doors or anywhere for passive intake, better still install some air bricks as passive.
You need 2 things, heat removal and new air coming in (unless you add C02 tanks)
Inside tent is hot it's about 91-92 outside the garage is like 100+some days+1...
Whats the ambient temp in garage? Like coreywebster said..if the heat aint going out and new air in, it just isnt going to work well.
If I get a fan that blows cool air and put it in tent will that work?I would push cooler air while pulling the hot. Also a good fan blowing on the plants. Use the lower vent for cool air, top for hot air (heat rises).
The ambient temps in the garage will play a huge part in the temps in the tent, as well as the humidity during flower. If I get a fan that blows cool air and put it in tent will that work?
For a 5x5 with a 1000w. Put the light at the top of the tent and leave it there. Hook your fan directly to your filter and have just enough ducting to go through your fixture and exhaust out of the tent. Open all the flaps at the bottom and tape them open, Put 1 or 2 fans that can point up and put them close to the flaps at the bottom. If you do all of this, you can keep the temp inside the tent within 3 degrees of the temp on the outside. Basically you can only keep your tent within so many degrees of the temp outside of it unless you introduce AC. Run at night, say 9pm to 9am if possible. Still might be too hot in a garage in the summer. good luck.If I get a fan that blows cool air and put it in tent will that work?
Thanks bud I'm on veg right now give 18 hours light I'm runing light at night 7pm-1pm temp dropped down to 82 before it was at 94.. Thanks so much! Another question should I have my fans on when my lights are off?For a 5x5 with a 1000w. Put the light at the top of the tent and leave it there.
