Tent Intake/Exhaust question

I’m going to be running 2- 6” AC infinity cloud lines (in a 5x5 GGT with a Raptor 8 hood and 1000w HPS). A T6 w/ temperature/humidity control and a S6 that operates off same controller. One as intake for tent and one for exhaust through my hood. I’d imagine with the temperature strobe in the tent regularly adjusting with canopy it will call for cool air, when room goes above preset settings, and both fans will kick on same time an exchange basically all the air in the 5x5 tent very fast thru the 6” duct as I oversized for future upgrades. Do you see any issue with this set up? Do you recommend I run both fans 24/7? Or run exhaust 24/7 and let the T6 do its thing as far as cooling the room with fresh cool air? Thanks in advance for any helpful input!!

In my 6x6 i have my intake on a timer and my exhaust running 247 . At night time i have it set up to only pump air in ever could of hours and the room has vent to draw ambient air in from the house.

I have both my intake and exhaust plugged into my enviro controller, set at certain temps, they both kick on at same time and cool the room/replenish clean air until they reach the desired numbers, then they shut off.

That's how i I I initially planned on doing it as the T6 comes wired to a controller and temperature stobe. The S6 has a cord that can connect it to the same controller which in turn makes them wired in series. But after reading up on others set ups i noticed that similar light setups with a hood people run exhaust 24/7. Wondering if that's more efficient for keeping temp down then the fans kicking on mutliple times a day. Electricity is no concern for me.

I have all my fans on all the time and with my 1k watt hps I have a portable ac to help with heat

You don't need 2 x 6" fans for your hood, if you're isolating your hood from the grow space. A single 6" fan will more than handle it. It's how I've had mine setup for several years now, with a 1000 watt Eye Hort HPS. Along with the 6" fan, get yourself a 4" fan to exhaust the tent air.

And no, don't run your fans all the time, just when the lights are out. When I'm around 2 or 3 weeks into flower, I'll have my tent fan run for 15 minutes, every hour, when the lights are out, to try and prevent moisture buildup with the plants.

If you run a single 6" fan for your hood, place the fan AFTER the hood. It is much more efficient to draw air than push it.

Also, future proofing is usually a good idea, but unless you plan on scaling up to a commercial grow with several 1k lights, and a dedicated air conditioner, you'll never need an 8" hood. Save some money and look at whats actually needed. Start off with he minimum equipment, then add to it as needed. Any extra equipment you have running will effect your power bill. Mine went up $100/month with my RDWC w/1k light.

Ok. Idk what im looking at for interior heat yet as im still waiting for my ballast to come in. Im hoping to avoid an AC as i have no windows in the side of the basement ill be utilizing. It sits low 60's year round so im hoping just the inline fans can keep me where i need to be.

I upsized my fans for future upgrade to bigger tent. I know its overkill for a 5x5 lol. 1 fan will be the exhaust an pull the hot air from the top of the tent out through hood. Other fan will be intake on the bottom of the tent opposite of exhaust pushing in cool air.

Huh. Didn't think of that. Thanks.

When you have everything dialed in, your grow tent will be around 5 to 10 degrees warmer than the room it resides in.

At 60 degrees, you won't need an AC, especially if you're running a sealed hood. It's so much easier to manage when you have the hood air isolated from the grow area. You can also mount your tent exhaust fan and your hood exhaust fan outside of your tent, as they generate heat as well.

LOL, I meant "Only run your fans when the lights are on", not "off". I gotta quit doing big dabs before texting!
I also wasnt thinking lol. The fan controls both temp and RH. I set my desired temps and humidity levels and fingers crossed it lives up to its word lol. Check it out. Its a AC infinity Cloudline T6. So back to my original plan which was preset the fans to my temp and RH and let it do its thing.

I will have both fans and carbon filter mounted outside of the tent on the wall next to it. Im trying to keep as much outta the tent as possible. Ideally just 4-13gal plant sites, humidifier, and fans is all i want in the tent.

If you're not aware, you should hang your fans from ceiling hooks, as opposed to mounting them on the wall or ceiling. They create a hum that you'll be able to hear all through your house.

I'm still organizing, but this is mine right now...

I like it. I was planning on mounting a piece of plywood to my basement foundation wall. I got these rubber pads 4"x4" you can cut to what you need to pad the vibration. Already committed to that for now but i will remember this if its an issue. Thank you.

I got a ridiculous deal on the Raptor 8 i couldnt turn down. Brand new never used was just hung in the store as the floor model. I got the hood and a 1000w bulb for $150 because they were being discontinued.
