Hi all i jsut got done with my first grow and love whati learned and so excited to actually grow some dank.

My previous grow was CFLs but now i will upgrade and needed some help.

I ordered a 4x4x6.5 tent and a 600 hps/mh lumatek digital lights.

5" Soler & Palua exhaust
6" S&P exhaust
Bathroom Fan for intake
Table fans
6" Inline Cheap fan intake

I wanted to know if this setup will be best for what i have.

6" exhaust fan connected to carbon filter exhausting HIGH.
5" exhaust fan connected to air cooled reflector exhausting HIGH.
Bathroom fan and 6" inline cheap fans on bottom blowing air in. Intake.

Table fans inside circulating blowing at plants.

That is my idea setup with all the stuff i have..

Any better idea?

1)I bought one of those package with MH/HPS bulbs and lumatek digital ballast and etc but i dont think it comes with light hangers. It only comes with the air cooled reflectors.
What can i use to hang the lights?
Can i get light hangers at home depot?

2) Also would the tent provide a place where i can hang the light fixture?

3)Also does the carbon filter stay INSIDE THE TENT or OUTSIDE THE TENT?

4)Do i duct the reflector and connect the exhaust fans OUTSIDE the tent or inside?

5)So basically i wanted to know does the fans get mounted inside the tent or outside the tent. Also with the carbon filter.

6)Also would 600mh/hps cover this space well? OR should i throw in another 200~400 watters inside?

7)Also i have 1 more tent about the same size im planning to use for vegging.
What is an idea wattage for vegging about 4~6 mother plants and maybe 4~6 clones at a time.

Any help please.!!

For like 10 dollars you can get your lights a hangin

Go to the Depot and get some small chain, under a dollar a foot

And I think the light comes with basic hook and chain setup I think you can buy a basic nut & bolt setup just bring the chain from the light with you

East stuff

And get a thermometer there
I git a real nice one for $15 that give you the highs and lows of the day bongsmilie

I have my fans on the inside and you want the exhaust filter on the inside

It really depends on the setup

So all the fans are INSIDE the tent as wel as the carbon filteR?

If stealth wasnt an issue can i put the fans and filters outside and be same effect?

Also do BRAND NAME BULBS REALLY MATTER? I see i am geting plantmax bulbs as the light package i got. But i heard that expensive bulbs do better? Or are they really similar?

Thanks! Repped

better brands USUALLY have a better output/ longer output, but it doesnt mean ur lamp is crap, itll do the job just fine and once u actually get the tent 90% of ur questions will be answered, i had the same questions untill i put my tent together and then it all became obvious, you will(should) get racks that mount off the top of the tent to hold ur fans, and u should get tiny bars across the top for ur light, btw your fans, are they inline or centrafugal???

and yes you can put ur fans and filters outside of the tent, but i find by fans suck more air while they are in the tent(the more ducting and bending of the ducting reduces air flow

and i grow in a tent about the same size with a 600w digital ballast(growlush) and its fine, my friend also has a tent a bit smaller than mine and he is always complaining it is to small, so yes id say 600w will be fine, sorry ive put 600 posts on this thread but i keep revising and seeing that other questions havent been answered

Its an inline fan duct fan? Suppose to be one of the quietest fan or something. I just got a deal for brand new ones both for $50 bucks so i couldnt pass on it since i had no money for a vortex fan. Supposley its 6" $150 and 5"$100 each.

Another question is i will be getting s xtrasun aircooled reflector which i see two HOLES on the side..

Do i use both to exhaust or can i use only 1 or should i connect one of the intake fan to it to blow on the lights?

Thanks so much!

its up 2 u, it dose increase air flow with 2 obviously, and it does workwell with one as intake and one exacust, and if they are just inline fans i would recomend 2, i use a centrafugal fan as outtake on mine and it does a fine job,

using an inlet and outlet on ur cooltube or hood or whateva is really good when ur running a conrtoled enviroment like adding co2 to ur tent, so the fans dont suck the co2 out while they are cooling ur light..
