There is a good reason that this can potentially be a good idea.

Say your average shatter or wax is 15% lipids, waxes, etc. If you remove those then your left with an absolute which will be 15% stronger. Problem is in making the absolute you've likely just stripped away most/all your terpenes. If you then reintroduce terpenes at a 5% solution now you've got an oil which is going to be 10% stronger than you're average shatter/wax but still have a rich terpene profile.

That isn't deluding it or stepping on it IMO. In theory it could be a superior concentrate.

I agree entirely, its done in many top quality companies either through fractional distillation or natural sources (i .e. Orange peel extract) these are natural terpenes found in cannabis and certain fruits) they are of proven therapeutic and medicinal value.

You lose most of your terpenes in order to clean your oil. Having a 84% thc/cbd winterized shatter needs to be given flavor and direction that is only moderated through the synergistic effect between thc/cbd and terpenes.

Ignore my post. I was actually completely wrong. Sorry about that.

Absolutes do NOT make extracts meaningfully stronger. You would think they do, but they just don't. That came from my complete misunderstanding of what was being separated. The process of making an "absolute" or a process using a secondary solvent to "dewax" a concentrate does NOT meaningfully separate thc from what people refer to as "plant waxes" or "lipids". The waste material from the clear still has concentrated thc in it. You're not simply separating thc from waxes. What you're really doing is separating fatty acids from other oils. Those fatty acids still are thc infused and "the clear" from what I've seen isn't actually an absolute pure thc. It seems to be approximately the same potency of a normal extract.

It is true however it's less harsh to dab. The reason is primarily because you're removing parts of the extract with higher vaporization/combustion temperature, so the oil you're inhaling is at a lower temperature so your lungs and throat do not get as irritated.

Obviously these other cats need to think outside the box, as in use it in your own dilution. Thanks in advance.

I just purchased some organic terpenes. I will be dipping and making cartridges. I will post results. From my research it is the way to go. When making cartridges. As you only need to add a few drops to break down your concentrate. I have 20 different strain terpenes profiles. From sour d to Yoda OG. Can't wait to test them.

The same things you're saying about these concentrates are the same things a lot of people say about ALL concentrates. It's just being stuck in the past IMO.

So the terpenes were extracted from a different source. What's the difference?

The difference in the terpenes and sources thereof.

Cannabis has a complex terpene profile that cannot be mimicked by another plant or by synthesizing.

Anyway, what's the difference? Everything. If you plan on smoking it, the difference is in the flavor. As for eating it, low temp vaping, or applying topically, the difference ranges from 300% into the mega thousands.

A couple of examples: Into the thousands, well that is topically. The terpene profile in cannabis can deliver instant pain relief unlike any compound I have ever encountered, it cannot be duplicated. Ingesting cannabis extract that contains all of the natural terpenes will alter the blood brain barrier and will also alter the THC. It will provide up to a 300% increase in the duration of the effects as well as additional health benefits.

I have several documents to back this along with hands on experience.

I call the extract ND Sap, naturally decarbed, no heat used in the process, and no winterizing.
