after my visit to TX Hydro, I have to say.. I like the staff there. They helped me and had me out of the store fairly quickly. BI it seems like they let you wander around for a bit, before they offer assistance. I called ahead to make sure my filter was in stock. When I arrived they had it boxed up and set aside waiting for me. They are a bit on the pricey side, but they seem to have a larger stock, and carry more products than you find at BI... while I will say I'm not sold, I am happy to know that I have options

Have you been to BI's new store that's like 4 units down from their old one? Cause it's bigger than both TX Hydro's combined. I always felt like the guys at TX Hydro would jump on me like like a used car salesman when I went in there. The guys at BI help you WHEN ASKED, which I like a lot better. I can get way better prices at BI too, but their service is really what keeps me coming back. That and the warranty service that they provide like they're supposed to. Those are their two big strong points if you ask me.
Yeah, it's nice having multiple options to buy from whichever store you choose. The state that I'm from originally only has like 1 actual full-on hydro shop, so 3 options in one town is pretty extravagant for me. And my home state isn't some hillbilly redneck state either, so it's weird that it has such a lack of shops. But Austin has so many growers and smokers that I guess they NEED the extra shops! Nothing wrong with that!
Anyway, as long as you feel good about buying from them Shack, then that's all that matters. Not trying to rain on your parade man, just trying to share what I've learned over the years. But glad you got the filter installed, and best of luck on the flip you just did!
