It was so cheap earlier this year. Tom Thumb does a rewards program, so at one point I had an .80¢ Discount. Pushed me to under a buck a gallon. Filled up two cars for around $20 lol

Weird, I know. Our local HEB has had 2 discount programs using a gas card you charge or "fill up" at the cash register and then swipe at the pump. You get the card and add say....$100 to it. In addition to low prices, that card discounts your gas another 10-15 cents per gallon! When the program is over it's used at the regular pump prices.

I love the people of California. Met some of the friendliest and smartest in San Francisco, Napa, etc. I get budwood from U. of California at Riverside, also get their monthly newsletter because I donated money to the Regents for a particular long term fruit research project they're doing.
I just can't stand your government. It's a confirmation that liberal policies don't work.

No argument from me. We are in the midst of a significant drought and our "leaders" want to spend hundreds of billions of dollars to put in a high-speed rail system that nobody will use. They're smart!

I've seen that stupidity. Here in Texas local leaders do not hesitate to put the masses under water restrictions, some VERY severe and hard. It's got to be Cali. dumb ass politics to let this drought go on for so long before putting folks on water restrictions as they watch their lakes and wells dry up. Until recently with the wet El Nino event ALL cities in Texas were under mandatory water rationing.
I'm not talking for a few months. I'm talking for years, at least 8.

That is the drug war in action, one of the few bipartisan policies. The motivation is asset forfeiture, i.e. armed robbery.
I read a couple of news articles about Alfred Wright's death. It wasn't a lynching, but do carry on.
