The flav was 1 of those 6 - 10 packs I pissed away but I ended up culling the phenos I ended up with due to powdery mildew so if pm is something you see in your garden on occasion I'd just make sure to keep it in check and be proactive in treating with neem oil and make sure to keep your humidity in check...i'm gonna pop some 'The Flav' anyone gro it lately ?

ThanX Big time , I will hold off I was looking at a summer G/H gro with this but I had a PM issue last summer & it was strain dependant on who got PM . SOO this will be indoor LED Only for meThe flav was 1 of those 6 - 10 packs I pissed away but I ended up culling the phenos I ended up with due to powdery mildew so if pm is something you see in your garden on occasion I'd just make sure to keep it in check and be proactive in treating with neem oil and make sure to keep your humidity in check...
I would say it's earthy but just kind of this taste with it that I don't like. It also gets a bit of a shitty hay smell. I would suspect improper drying but I've had this strain for a few years now dried the same as everything else. A lot of other people seem to like it though. I heard vortex can have a bad smell maybe it was leaning more to that pheno? The chernobyl is for sure earthy but just so unique. Kind of like an herbal tea. It seems harsher than others though. Also I should point out I have only had 1 pheno of each. What dont you like about the taste? Is it earthy?
When I ran chernobyl it had what I considered a nasty earthy taste. Nobueno. All other tga gear Ive ran had a good taste
Get a good pheno you will not go back. I've been trying all kinds of other strains to get something that makes me feel as high. There are all these other amazing strains out there but they just don't do me in like the chernobyl. What about Chernobyl?! I am looking forward to growing those out
The only TGA strain I've ever came close to liking.
What do you think of the plasma lights vs hps? I have a couple decent LEDs that are in earlier pages. I am considering trying a plasma next. I must say though the heat from the HPS is great during winter season in very cold areas. With enough lights depending on the size of your place, you don't even need to run a furnace when the lights are on. I love the science of trying different lighting. I never was a believer in LEDs back when they were all junk but I like these newer ones. I really like how they say the plasma is closer to the sun. I can never really give a fair comparison myself because I'm always changing little things here and there. Then they have those COB LEDs but I've read mixed reviews.Penny wise - sorry about the burn, trying new lights(gavita 1000e DE) and new nutes, she was a little hot.....
I just love it when plants get that color. Yours look amazing. Seen you mention Thailand earlier I got one going.I had some plants from seed that were so-so. When I cloned them, they were much more amazing. The terpenes went crazy! Jilly Bean that smelled like Vicks Vape O Rub! JIlly Bean that smelled like Chemical Lemon! Makes me so mad because I didn't find out until I harvested them and then it was way too late to clone them.
The gavita 1000e DE is a double ended HPS, although I would love to add a plasma or LEC........ It never ends, growing can get expensive....What do you think of the plasma lights vs hps?

How many have you tried? What ones? Have you done time wreck or Dr Who?The only TGA strain I've ever came close to liking.
The best Chernoby's are sold as club clones where they already did the pheno hunt. Even then it's a tall, skinny, and thin plant. The buds are super frosty. Vortex is mostly a wispy one for me too. I have two Chernobyl from self-seed growing currently with one half bloomed. It is very stretched as usual. Most Kush seems to be stretched as well and a lot of them need long veg times to produce anything beyond the wispiest buds. They need root-mass development, time, and big pots to be able to fill a good jar even. IDK how many TGA strains I have right now. Maybe fifteen or so I guess. And clones from mother plants that went to bud. The clones are better than the original plant if you want to see the real potential. I don't always take clones anyway. I took none of Chernobyl, 3D, 9 Lb Hammer, but three of Deep Purple. 3D stays short and gets square-top buds. It finishes in 50 days or so. Maybe less. It has fruity smells, gets very sticky, clones easy, and a strain I made seeds from has the 'baby-poo, rotten, microbiological smell'. TGA has more descriptions. I have a ton of 3D from self-seeding four years ago. Nobody seems to grow it much, but it's a really good one. Agent Orange too. Grows & clones well and makes a lot of buds.Heres my take on chernobyl. Im sure there is that fire pheno, the golden ticket everyone talks about. When I grew it the yield was bad, had the long skinny buds. It also had a very dirty taste, both females I had, like a dirt or earthy taste. I always get rid of anything with an earthy taste, I really dislike it. That plus yield, no thanks.
I bought some at a dispensary in Seattle, supposed to be the golden ticket cut, not that impressed. But it might not have been, maybe not even chernobyl.
But I didnt do much of a pheno hunt. I think tga has a lot better strains imho, even if you get the golden ticket it will probably yield half what others will. Plus I need a strong flavored strain if its gonna stick around.
Same issue with yumboldt actually, one pheno smelled super earthy, and both had terrible yield. Lowest yields out of like 20 strains ive ran. But the one that smelled good... light watermelon/bubblegum. Curing now
Not bad mouthing tga at all. Ive ran alot of great stuff from sub.
Try making some of your own seed-crosses with the males. You will get some insane plants that would likely be better than the parents if the females seem like duds to you. Also, like Whitey said..we need to make clones to see the real potential. I'm doing it currently with Mickey Kush, Querkle, Deep Purple, and some home made strains containing 1/8-1/4 of the TGA strain when I am done through three or four crosses that put into other crosses until I get something crazy. But you need to make clones of these too before you bud because you can't tell what will be good in bloom. I had 13 seeds turn into 9 females of a home made strain. One is awesome, the rest are so-so, with one other that is special. I did not clone them all and two others would have been good. But I did get the best one saved in a clone. It was a several year project with indoor and outdoor growing and crossing plants to make seeds to grow and cross further. I crossed them all with Dr. Who anyway to get some seeds to play with later. On the topic of potency and tga, I feel if you aren't running the phenos more than once in clone form; you more than likely will never get what you want, that's with any strain pretty much but sometimes we dont get the potentcy but play with harvest times.... Just cuz them timeframes claim 8-9 weeks I've gone up to 82 days on cheesequake once... but for the most part the tga descriptions are pretty accurate I gotta say... Usually if they aren't super potent; its explained in the description...
I started out with tga more than a few years ago and for the first half of my obsession with tga I had the beginners luck of a god as far as phenotypes and being the perfect exemplars of the intended versions of the strains... Only I wasn't experienced enough to see that I should go out of my way to keep them... The second half of the years I've been growing tga has been almost a complete waste other than a few choice plants and all of that waste is/was my fault.... Out of 6 10 packs I have maybe 4 phenos that are ok but not firery Fire to show for all those beans... Reality-wise I should have a pretty nice selection of at least 5-6-7 killer-keepers to pick from out of that many packs of beans but without going into depth other than I fucked up.... I in no way blame tga... It's up to you/I as well as more than just a single seed run to verify dank or not:.. I have some Brian berry and some qleaner that I'm drooling over but I gotta wait and do these right cuz pheno-wasting isn't cheap...
Alien OG is such a good clone too. I grow so much random seeds that I see lots of lame budding plants too. We smoke it all. I have Cheesequake sprouts and Marionberry in seed still un-popped. I grew a Mickey Kush and vegged 30-45 days or so before budding. Thinnish buds, but should be pretty excellent. Made four clones too. Untrimmed so far.My accidental cross. Does not produce well at all. Good tasting though. Crazy. Last one I'm doing though. Cheesequake X Alien OGView attachment 3613416
