The waterfarm is really turning into the apple of my eye a small light, mild nutes little to no maintenance & im getting growth what's not to like???View attachment 3644456
Nice man! I love all the different objects in the pics haha let me guess, next will be a pair of needle nose pliers!
One suggestion I can give since you are running GH nutes, I run GH nutes in water and have consistently seen this, you'll want to get to around 500ppm/1 EC by day 21ish. That's when they pick up feeding and if you're not there you'll see it in the plant. I normally stay really low until that point because they don't really drink much with the small root mass prior. After that point the next 2 weeks will be rapid growth so be ready to train!

Hey anon Emaus I'm gonna have to wing this one with the ph. Meter solo my ppm meter is one of those they give you with one of those drinking water filtration jugs I'm thinking in terms of long time reliability an ec meter might be a better choice but for now I'm just going by gh feeding schedule & paying close attention to the plant I built & did a bubbleponic grow in the past so I kind of got an idea of what lies ahead & im pretty familiar with gh nutes&addatives but that being said a tds/ ec meter is gonna be a must to get the most potential this method has to offer meanwhile my growth rate is slowly gaining momentum soon I'll be upping the light to the 4 bulb t5 fixture until the diablo finishes image.jpeg

never used a waterfarm,, i built my own dwc 5 gallon buckets.. how easy is it to do water changes in the waterfarm? how does it work?? can u build one yourself cheaper than buying one? is there a water pump or just the airator? i ask as id like to compare a waterfarm to a 5 gallon dwc bucket,,but not sure how it works,,it seems alot like dwc exept the drip ring...id love to see the waterfarm taken apart so i can see how it works...

Gotcha, i figured you knew your shit but figured i'd throw it out there! I suggest an HM Digital Aquapro PPM meter, just use hanna conversion to get your EC, only $25! I've been using it for a little over a year straight and never even have to calibrate it.

Hahaha Took me a minute to notice the pliers!:clap::D

You could build one what I trip on is the drip ring & how it's fed without a water pump the air pump pumps air down this vertical pipe & the rising air forces nutrients into the collar infusing it with air as it shoves it up the column so simple it isn't funny you tube has videos on them besides the feeding/air column it is a dwc as near as I can tell to me it's a welcome change after a gang of e&f grows

There is no way around it I'm gonna have to have a tds meter because as near as I can tell it would be very beneficial when you notice a drop in nutrient level & you need to know if your plant actually fed which would lower the ppm along with the level of liquid or if it just consumed mainly water which should raise the ppm in spite of a lower overall nutrient level knowing exactly where you stand on ppm's would tell you if you just need to top- off with water or to mix a small batch of nutes to top- off with keeping a hungry plant satisfied I'm sure there is gonna be a learning curve to it all

Yeah you've got the right idea it's gonna take some lumens but as far as the system goes you've got it nailed the 8 site waterfarm is about 5 times what you've spent good job

Getting really good development for only 24w. T-5 gonna have to kick it up a notch real soon this is my first time growing th- seeds & im happy so far it's way too early in the game to predict the final outcome but we're off to a good start right now my only concern is what is gonna be the quality of the finished product I topped her yesterday so the training has beganimage.jpeg image.jpeg

I upped the nutrient schedule to early growth I named her stubby she is soon to receive 96 watts of t-5 light she is about done napping I think I'm really starting to enjoy this waterfarm when this plant gets larger I'm gonna keep 2 gals. Of fresh nutes ph.ed & ready to go & switch out about every 3 days insuring my girl has a supply of fresh nutes at her disposalimage.jpegimage.jpeg

True to your word I'm at day 20 in the waterfarm & im getting growth overnight that I'm happy with I've got what appears to be 2 branches on my upper leaves & 2 more developing with my lower leaves I like it when things come together better than plannedimage.jpeg

It will probably be in that time frame before I'm ready to flip the light 12/12 some strains from seed respond to the flip different than others then some people do them 12/12 from the start I like to start from seed & then clone the downside of 1 plant grows is that you can't start from seeds & select your favorite pheno I have a friend who would like a setup like you're building I've been eyeballing that roleadro led on Amazon if I could trust their reviews I would buy it it's the 800 s one but for now my attention is gonna be focused n this waterfarm & getting the most out of it I would really like to see your set- up together & operating it looks interesting
