we are in space.

i thought you were going to paste the soyuz rocket that failed to reach obit and crashed in easern russia on the siberian tundra.

that's a story worthwhile.

a planet 4,000 lightyears away?? come on man...

the russian rocket was supposed to take supplies to the space station, it launched off some spaceport in kazhakstan or something like that.... google it. it's true!

yea saw that in the journal today prety crazy. think they are cuttin the crews down on the space station now so less supplies is needed. they also had a bunch of satelites fail to launch and orbit recently.

didnt see that russian story yet.

i know you are just being argumentative, as i am too, but it really pisses me off that dumbo stopped the space program.

its been a boom to economies and science and discovery throughout the world. certainly has posibilities for future energy needs. i was reading a few months ago how there was a previously unknown huge magnetic field somewhere close by.

i will bet a dollar to a donut that the next VIABLE alternative energy lies somewhere reachable either in space, or the earths core but we wont discover it. someone else will and we will end up giving away more of our liberties to beg for it.

whats so usefull about a planet that might be made of diamond? do diamonds fuel cars or power homes? until we can space travel (in a reasonable amount of time) they should save their millions.

he didn't stop the space program.

NASA retired the Space Shuttle when Obama was president. it did so several years after their projected useful lives. and the space shuttle was old and expensive to launch. it had a great run, but there are other rockets that can do the job.

the problem is these rockets all have nuclear weapons attached to their noses....

some out there want to keep taxes ultra low b/c supposedly it stifles innovation.

energy can come from the wind and through solar power. scientists already agree the greatest amount of energy coming into the planet right now is solar power. plants use photosynthesis to harness solar power all day every day, done it for millions of years....

you don't need solar panels.

all you need is a fresnel lens heating the core, the rest of the mechanics is pretty old technology, a steam turbine, water... blah blah....

here's an example, at first he breaks the glass b/c he gets it too hot and has to try again.

i used to vote but i got tired of being called to jury duty every year.
so i abstain from any comment due to my lack of involvment in these matters.
but feel free to get involved and make a change!
oh wait, didnt we already get the change?

you don't need solar panels. ineficient when you have too many clouds.

maybe you should forward the video to all those useless engineers searching for alternative energies around the world. i am sure they would love to see it. oh boy.

dont worry, we will never find out. the russians might, but we certainly wont with the mentality of the nitwit in chief

the problem is that most of the engineers that work on these types of alternative energy sources don't have the capital required to make HUGE strides forward.

they have small budgets and the innovation is crawling along at snail's pace.

the sterling engine was long forgotten too. the steam turbine engine became the norm.

kinda like mini discs n CD's.

mini discs were the shit back in the day, but CD's became the norm. i had a buddy of mine move from japan back in the CD days and he was like: why is everybody here still using CDs??? mini discs hold more music, and don't get fucked up... i was like, what the hell's a minidisc?? shit happens sometimes i guess...

what? are you living in 1921?

do you think, for one second, that if there are legitimate breakthroughs in renewable energies, there wouldnt be kazzillions flowing into the project?

if i invented a coconut capable of powering a home, do you think i would have trouble getting investors? doubt it.

btw, another classic example of the liberal theology....just throw govt money at it, that will make it better.

haha funny thing, i tried selling a 2 cd player setup with an equalizer w/ effects for dirt cheap recently and the only responses i got were "i was going to make you an offer, then i realized it was 2011 and all my music is in mp3 format"

In case you missed it (most did)...I started a thread regarding the future of the space program.

But, there are still very large sums of money being devoted to the space program.

you fail to see how a lot of power and energy companies have capitalized their R&D costs, and they're not just going to expense them out instantly to go after new technology. i wished it was that way but: they have shareholders you know.

why is it the energy companys responsibility to fund a program that will make their product less valuable?

thats like mcdonalds sending their managers over to burger king to show them how to make a better burger and offer chicken nuggets. makes no sense.

let burger king, or MIT find their own form of energy and exploit it.

the "building a better mousetrap" concept gets lost on a lot of libs.

We should be in space mining the moon for H3 but we are going to let China or Russia do it.
